Ya’ll ready for some 2021 courses?! They look nice and lush this year for the most part.
If you are in the market for a new Golden Tee, the machines we sell after Sept 1st will receive a no cost upgrade to 2021, so if you are interested in ordering a Golden Tee 2021 you don't have to wait.

Still looks like lo quality cgi for the price. Maybe they are going for the Fun aspect? For me I'm looking for something like PGA 2k21. As much as what they charge no reason the graphics aren't comprable to a PS4?
They want all the operators to have the latest version and be online.
If they up the graphics quality, it makes operators deal with hardware upgrades which is time consuming, expensive and generally unknown.
Making the machines easy to upgrade is good for sales and compatibility on older hardware, but it keeps the game frozen in time for the last what? 15 years?

The players look cartoony but to me the rest looks pretty good.
I think they do really well with water, the way it looks and sounds.
If you want to see bad graphics, look at the 18 courses on my multicade.
BUT: there are a lot of times it is funny and stupid, like on the edge of a steep drop off and your cartoon player is just floating in mid-air ready to putt.
Once I had a glitch that did not last long, the players were invisible for a few holes, all you could see was the club.
IT Games definitely puts their development efforts more into expanding content over graphics, which seems to be working for them.
But yeah I know when I started playing Golden Tee around 15 years ago (Fore! era) I remember thinking "Ok, this is the latest 2004 version!? I'm pretty sure I played this on Sega Genesis 20 years ago."
But people buy the same Madden/Call of Duty/FIFA every year too, so whatev.
I recently picked up a routed Golden Tee Live 2020. Prior to purchase, I contacted Golden Tee support and was told I could convert it to a home version by buying a $100 chip from them which I did. Now I found out that I need an Ethernet connection to get it to work. I cannot connect with an Ethernet cable because of where the game is located. Any suggestions?

Buy a WiFi dongle and plug it into the PC. Linksys AE6000 will do the trick.

Sure, if you like spending four times too much for something that you have to configure to use and won't be as reliable.
Here, I'll spoon-feed you all: $10. Plug it into any unused USB port on the Nighthawk. Done. Now you have a WiFi system.
How can you configure that in the OS to connect to your local WiFi ? Is there a config in the GUI after you boot into the game? With Ethernet it’s automatically set.

Yes. So long as you have a USB wifi adapter that the game supports, there's UI in the operator menu under Network Settings.
First time poster here. I am in the market for a 2011-2019 Golden Tee machine. I am open to the full cabinet or pedestal. Was quoted $3000 for a 2020 home pedestal without monitor. Would like to stay somewhere under that number. Anyone have one they are looking to sell? thank you!

The same as they are on a 50, depending on how far away you are standing.

I have a GT Complete and looking to upgrade to something newer. I just bought a few pins so NIB is out of the question. Any suggestions on where to get a 2014 or so GT? I know FB marketplace, LetGo, etc but those have come up empty. Or you find someone with a 2017 that still wants $3200. If your gonna buy that you might as well get new.
I guess the main thing would be a Company or person what I'm hoping to find. I am located in Illinois.
Thanks!
I have some Golden Tee cabinets in Middle TN if anyone is looking for a project. PM me if interested.

That adapter was supported by my GT2020 and works great, thanks for the heads up!
Quoted from kidchrisso:I just pre-ordered 2021 update today...
For real?
Normally I get an email & sign up day one.

yup...get on the website and email for the form. Release date is looking like Oct 26
I will have to look at their pricing again but I was planning to wait 3-4 years and get several at one time to save a few bucks.
It took me a while to find that info last time, if anyone has a link handy for that, please post.
Thanks!
I'm looking to buy a CID and I/O board with security chip. If anyone has that, even if it's in the form of a converted game or something less than presentable I would consider that as well.
Would like a used arcade upright Silver Strike X or SS Live with 32 inch monitor, and also would like it to play Golden Tee. Vice versa is ok too - Golden Tee that plays Silver Striker. Would like this to be HUO aka gently used and don’t want to pay $5k. My budget is $2k-$3k delivered. Anybody have one for sale or suggestions for finding one? Guess I could buy an Arcade Legends 3 and add Silver Strike X, but don’t know if that is my best option.

I am going from 2018 to 2021, it was $499.

I love the concept of GT, and I owned a 2018 game for a year or so....I will say their graphics suck....its shocking to me that they've put zero effort into updating their antiquated platform.
Did they give you 2020 in the meantime until 2021 comes out?

My buyer is dragging his feet on my most recent pedestal refurbish. The game is done and ready for sale. $3000 for anyone who may want it.

Nice job-looks great! Is that a cut down?
Quoted from nascarrey:Nice job-looks great! Is that a cut down?
Yes sir. Each one I do takes about 20-30 hours of labor time to do correctly.
Sorry if its been mentioned, I just found out about the PowerPut that came out in 2013! Whats your thoughts? Can it be updated to play Golden Tee?

It definitely looks fun, but it must not have sold as well as GT since I don’t ever see it. Probably just not the same draw in the bar scene. I have seen some people get a switcher to add a hard drive and CID chip for it so you can choose to boot that in your GT cabinet.
Anyone near Denver have a 2019 home edition (not operator) security chip I can pick up today? I know it’s a long shot. Will pay fair price.
Is there a “turn key” kit to convert a golden tee Fore Complete to a golden tee live? I understand it requires a whole new PC and everything.

I believe I have a Nib 2019 upgrade kit still in stock
I still have mine from last years update, not local but can ship. send me a pm with offer.

Quoted from JohnnyPinball007:I have a 2020. What is campaign?
It says there is a campaign mode in the 2020 home version.
How do you like it? I'm thinking about getting one. But my TV is 70 inches. Is that too big? I'm assuming to just use a cord to plug the stand into the tv?
I have a 2020 home edition and I do not see a campaign mode anywhere.
The owners manual says a 42" HDTV works best. I went with a 50".
If you want to post the link where you read about a campaign mode I will try to see what it is.
The various retailers that sell it mention it too

Pretty sure they're talking about the ladder mode in Real Time Rivals. It starts with the easier opponents and moves up to John Daly. They added the ladder part with rewards for wins last year, and looks like they're adding to it in 2021.
Quoted from MutterFudder:Pretty sure they're talking about the ladder mode in Real Time Rivals.
Pretty sure you are correct. I have never tried the real time rivals.
