Introducing Rocket City Pinball, in Titusville, FL! (You know, right where we launch all those rockets!) I'm excited to finally put a Pinside shop together with a bunch of my mods, parts, and photography. I thought about building up the shop and dropping everything all at once, but I was too excited to get started -- so I'll be adding more and more as the next few weeks go on.

My first product to announce are Golden Posts!

I was recently refurbishing an EM for someone (an old Sky Kings, by coincidence), whose playfield and plastics were badly yellowed. (The plastics were actually opaque and brown until I thoroughly cleaned them, lol.) The owner told me not to worry about the cosmetics (he just wanted the game functional again), but I couldn't in good conscience put those crusty old posts back on. The problem was, brand new posts were so bright and fresh, they made the rest of the game look TERRIBLE, clashing with the playfield patina. I even tried some 'slightly used' posts that had started to yellow a little, but even THOSE looked too new. So I experimented with a few ideas and landed on Golden Posts! I was shocked (as were the owner and his friend who took delivery when I returned the machine, all fixed up and ready to play) at how well they matched the colors and how nice they looked once installed.

These 3D-printed Golden Posts blend in perfectly with the aged decorative plastics (look closely -- those plastics are more golden than "yellowed"). The posts' silky shine breathes new life into that buttery playfield without the harsh, stark contrast of bright white posts. If you're not going for a full-blown restoration, Golden Posts are an elegant solution for rejuvenating that seasoned vintage game!

Posts available in my just-opened shop, in sizes 1" and 1-3/16": https://pinside.com/pinball/market/shops/1282-rocket-city-pinball/04224-golden-posts-for-aged-playfields

    Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:

Very cool product!! I can see other uses for it as well.

Thank you! Should come in handy for those of us who can't (or don't want to) go all-out to strip & repaint the clear coat.
