Let's go back to basics. First you need to add a credit or credits. When looking at the inside of the back box lower left hand corner you can see the credit Wheel behind the bracket. You will see a coil with a plunger one will step it up and if I remember there will be a second to step it down. You can pull in the plunger with your fingers you need to find the one that steps it up and add credits. Once you can physically see credits in the front of the game then hit the start button.

Also once you get some credits on the game some games need to see the ball in the game before it will start up when you push the start button. The more knowledgeable EM guys can tell you if this is one or not.
