Has anybody bought the replacement bumper caps from Marco? I'm not sure which are the matching rings as they show yellow and orange. Currently I have a mismatched EBD cap on my machine which is the same colour and defo more orange looking but the Marco ones appear more yellow.

The choice of the clip style bodies seems limited too can only find white, the coloured transparent ones would look so good on this machine.

I have them. I think they look good. I put them on with the original collars. Note that the pattern is a starburst type. So you would need a set of three.

My Goldball has a Alltek mpu. Does anybody know how it would affect the Goldball percentage? I’ve played and played but the Goldball has never come out. Tks

Check the dip switch settings on the mpu
Gold ball frequency can be adjusted

Perhaps the Alltek runs the improved field service kit ROM, in which case dips 14-16 OFF enable the Gold Ball letter spotting award method;
https://www.ipdb.org/files/1024/Bally_1983_Gold_Ball_Field_Service_Kit_Instructions.pdf

I'm running the V1.2 Oliver home ROM which adds a nice light attract show too. Don't think you can add your own ROMs to an Altek

Thanks again for info, tried the field setup and the triple score lights up at the bottom of playfield the Goldball doesn’t pop up but the silver ball still does. Tested switch and solenoid and they seem to work properly. Emailed Alltec and tech said he thought it is field kit but not sure. Bummer

If Shoot Again lights when you've lit all GOLDBALL letters, then it sounds like the field kit version, on the next ball you get a different screeching sound too whilst the Gold Ball is in play, you can't miss this!

This has jogged a vague memory of a Gold Ball at a show with an Alltek MPU and the open/close gate to the lower trough where the Gold Ball lives wasn't working properly. It may be worth going through the soleniod self tests to check each fires individually as expected particularly those that relate to the Gold Ball selection.

Kinda good news, Dave, owner of Allteck called me and he’s going to look at programming

My first attempt at a decent replacement for apron cards - tell me what you think. I want to change the font, but my husband says "good to go".

I like it. And if price is right I would change mine.

FYI: After a lot of texts I was able to find that Allteck boards are not programmed for the field kit but if you have to replace your mpu Action pinball has a chip that has programming

Thanks RONR11 - I hope the price was right.

Update, Dave has found the program and sending me a test chip.Ron

Got the chip today from Dave (Alltek). And from Ray at Action pinball. And both do the same thing % Has anybody replaces with a Allteck in a Goldball and got the version 2 to work? Thanks Ron

I agree with you. Arial does not belong on pinball instruction cards.

These are kinda rare.
Hopefully they will be included in the CPR set in the future.

Looking for photos of the apron cards supplied with the field service kit please, as listed below. In particular the one that describes completing GOLDBALL to award the Gold Ball. Thanks.

Please let me know if you find any of those cards.
I have the even numbered cards in the file on my website http://www.inkochnito.nl
Look in the Bally section.
I can add the cards you find or even just the right text...

Has anyone found a supplier of a cabinet stencil kit or decal kit for Gold ball please? My Cab is awfully faded.

Remarkably, the original handwritten apron card blueprints are on Ebay, we can kind of make out what is on cards -A031, -A033 and -A035

Working on it.....

The file is finished.
I was able to add all the missing cards (English versions).
Even the 2-player cards are added as well as the score inserts.
The file is uploaded on my website http://www.inkochnito.nl, look in the Bally section.
Thanks for sending me the images.
