Does anyone have a high quality scan of the Aircraft Carrier plastic from a Gottlieb Gold Wings? Mine is destroyed with parts of it missing and I was going to try and make a new one but I need a good scan of one.

I’m in need of a replacement carrier also. (Broke at the bottom)
If you find a good scan what method will you use to make a new plastic?
I’m not sure if it will work but I watched a video of a guy using inkjet decal paper to make some and then install that onto Lexan. They looked great. Thought I would give it a try but need a good scan first. I could also use a scan of the 2 plastics in the upper right and left corners as mine were missing when I bought the game.
That would be great! No rush, this is a full full restoration I’m doing so I have lots of other parts to work on first.

So super curious. What are you doing with your restore? I am about to start on mine and I've never liked the blue speckle paint. I was thinking of repainting the cab and head as well as taking the playfield out...doing touch up...and then putting clear on.
Going to touch up the cab paint, paint or powder coat the legs, side rails and lockbar gold. New t gold t moulding. Go over all the electronics, ie re pin connectors, ground mods, upgrade the pop bumper boards. I already have the Playfield removed and mostly stripped down. Basically repair or replace any worn Playfield parts and hand clean and polish the ones I will reuse. Rebuilding all the flippers and the upper kicker and replacing a lot of the standup targets. I was going to pull of the Mylar but it cleaned up well so I’m going to leave it on. I’m sure there will be lots more as I go through it. Would also love to find the topper for it but I think that is a bit of a long shot.

I have a few water slide decals for text if you need them. If you want to make them the text font is IMPACT in Microsoft Word. I have the sizes for what I used i can give too. Let me know.
I know a guy who can laser print them. Let me know when you have a good scan. I need this plastic as well.

Sounds good. I was thinking the same thing about the powdercoating on the rails, lockdown bar, and legs. I did try to paint the legs myself and they turned out pretty nice....but powder coating always looks so good. I'm hoping that the place local to me has a gold speckled paint they can use. I think that would be pretty tits. I've been adding a lot of lighting to mine as well. The game is so dark by default. The only thing that concerns me is that a lot of my playfield is planked and I'll have to draw in some of the point values...especially near the top flipper.

Think your guy can do a small “under the table” run? I’d be interested in a repo myself

Ya I’m going to experiment with some lighting as well, comet pinball has some nice lighting options.

Use the pdf I posted and make water slides. My playfield was a mess. I touched it up, laid down the water slides, then sealed it with Mylar.

Used tracing paper to get an idea of how to shape and cut the mylar

Note: that light mod is actually @gdonovan’s idea

That looks great!
Quoted from gdonovan:I like the waterslides covered with mylar, great idea!
Thanks, honestly I think I got the idea from watching a Todd Tuckey video, he mentioned a playfield being sealed in mylar after his guys did touch ups and I was like ....
But I did it on all the touch ups. Wouldn’t even know it unless I pointed it out. These are all the other touch ups covered in mylar

Used this for the gold

Need those scans though! Where them scans at?
Quoted from psd4me:I have a set of n.o.s. plastics on my GW I could pull the carrier and scan for you.
That’s awesome! The Arches too if you have them, that’d be great!
Quoted from psd4me:The ever elusive carrier plastic I'll get it taken apart and get it scanned in the next day or two. Mike[quoted image]

Ever able to scan this?
Quoted from Joelaero:Hi
Can anyone send me a detailed picture of the F14 cockpit so I can redraw and print it cause mine is red...
Thanks

I'll get you a pic in a few hours, I'll try to get it so you can just size the picture and print it on a waterslide or something
Hey everyone. I'm in need of some of the pink cloud plastics. The two top left PF "Clouds" just before and to the right of the top left loop shot. The top left apron is busted too, but mostly there except it wont hold the left most flasher dome. Anyone have any extra or scans?
Thanks!
I ended up finding the missing plastics and bought them online. I'm finding out though that my Gold Wings is different than any other one I've seen. I'm not sure of all the differences but the most obvious differences are mine does not have the "G" on the blue shield on the mid right side of the PF, the 5 oval inserts are just plain white, no design painted on them, the "Release" insert, top right lane is white. All my plastics are white and purple rather than pink, the carrier plastic is different too.
Maybe mine is an early run?
If anyone has the white/purple plastics under the ramp and to the right and around the top left kickout hole And would want to trade for the more pink ones let me know.
