Was at Art of Anamation in January.
Cool; going there in May. Little guys love pinball, and might be a nice way to wind down from the day.
Quoted from stoptap:
I love Kennedy Space Center. Hard to get to for us as we don't hire a car when over there. I haven't been since the shuttle was put on display which is something I really want to see.
I hope you can find a way. The Space Shuttle exhibit alone is phenomenal.
You might also check if there are any launches scheduled during your Holiday time.
They are quite exceptional from the Beach.
There are also a couple of killer Air shows coming up,
One along the beach....and the other close in Lakeland.
As an update, All Star Sports has no pins, and All Star Music has a dirty Tron with a tricky shooter (auto-plunger blocks the ball coming down far enough to plunge), and non-working scoop switch, meaning you can't start modes that require the scoop shot. It played fine otherwise. A year ago there were more pins in those arcades, and in better condition. They do have a few classic video games like Ms Pac, Galaga, Defender.
I go to Disney World all the time, usually stay at the Boardwalk as we have DVC points there. They have a small arcade by the main pool which has some video games/no pins. Usually busy on rainy days.
This weekend the main pool was closed waiting to get the all clear after a storm, so we went to the other "Quiet" pool which is smaller, no bar, less kids, etc. While there I explored the Community center they have there for the first time, and was surprised to see:
- Pool table, ping pong, cornhole
- Big screen showing movies
- Staffed with a Disney person and crafts for kids
- Multi-arcade machine set to freeplay
- Star Wars Pro set to freeplay
I only had a short time so played a couple balls on the pin. Someone had left mid-game, so I continued their play and soon hit a replay. Table wasn't balanced well, things seemed to lean a bit to the right, but appeared to play without issue. This was my first time trying the new Star Wars pin, and it wasn't as fast/frantic as I've heard, but that may have also been due to the setup. Could have been setup very player friendly as this was an area for kids, this could be normal, not sure.
But happy to find it and will be checking that location each visit!
Was there last week. Arcade at Animal Kingdom Lodge has a POTC and Tron. I haven't seen any pins in the wild in as bad shape as these. Tron had partial sound, with a bunch of thumping static (best way I could put it). Right flipper rubber hanging on by a thread.
POTC had mismatched, misaligned flippers, and a right flipper that could barely make the left ramp 1 of 5 times.
Really sad to see. Disney pins used to be in such good shape.
