Gee, hope not. It has many of the same elements of the back glass and looks rather silly being so redundant.
It’s the style of a stern topper, but really duplicative off the back glass. I’m guessing it’s not, but curious who did make it because it looks like decent quality.
For a homemade topper - it's great.
The real one better have a whole lot of moving elements to it...... and a lot of interaction with the game.
Maybe we'll get Stern's 1st $1500-$2000 topper. Elvira proved people will buy expensive Stern toppers, and Elite proved people will spend $2500 sight unseen.
For the best selling modern game, it needs to be extra special. No old school flat graphics with lights behind them.
Looking forward to the official Stern topper for Godzilla. Hopefully it comes with a unique mode or two to really put this game among the deepest rulesets of all time.

9 months later... Still waiting

Rush topper, 16 months later still waiting... They are just rumored to trickle out in the wild. Nothing dropped for anyone on pinside forum yet.
Edit: dropped!
One post on Facebook Netherlands user group with a picture. That's it.
Edit: Rush owners thread has few pics and a quick short video.
A couple shipping notices went out last week from fno but that's it. Next week looks hopeful for a Landing and a post!
I got a sneak peak of the Tilt Topper GZ one last night and I think it's awesome.
I asked and they gave me the OK to post the video of it.
I'll post it in a few relevant threads.
Quoted from Grizlyrig:I like it, thinking it will be $500 ish?

They don't have a final price, but the ballpark they gave me is double that.

It looks nice but not $1000 nice imo. Cool that there will be options for people though.

$1000 is way too much. I can see $500....MAYBE $700. I have two Tilttoppers, good quality so that's why I would go 700. Since it doesn't have a mech, I don't think it merits $1k

Yah he was telling me it was due mainly to the 2 LCD screens in it for the fire and then costs rising and stuff.
I just have a JP Tilt one and I love it. I wanted a matching one for my only other pin which is GZ. But I was hoping the price would be close to the $250 I paid for JP, but I would have paid like up to $500 as well. Part of the appeal was they were affordable compared to Stern ones and that has now been thrown out the window.
Way overpriced. Not trying to insult their work but that is too much.
Two LCDs aren’t that expensive. And something about the GZ head just doesn’t look right to me.
I applaud the effort but I will not a buyer for it
Thanks for the video though.
If I’m going to spend $500+ on a topper it will be the official one that is hopefully still coming from Stern.

It's going to be at least twice that
Quoted from purbeast:They don't have a final price, but the ballpark they gave me is double that.
$500 ish ok. Double.
Iam out then !
Quoted from Only_Pinball:It's going to be at least twice that
Oh I expect the Stern topper to be minimum 2k
Quoted from GCS2000:Oh I expect the Stern topper to be minimum 2k
$1699 is my guess
Quoted from John_C:That Godzilla head bust on the topper is awful.
I thought that too but Tilttoppers look better in person than they do in photos.
Quoted from RKip455:$850.00US
They told me the topper was going to be $900 - $1100 so it was good to see it was lower than that on the site when I checked, but just barely.
It's actually $895 not $850.
And it's still way above what I'd pay for it personally.
I love my JP Tilt topper but it was $250 versus the ugly plastic looking $600 (if you could find one in stock) topper.
Stern announced a topper for Godzilla. $1000 is the price point but no photo yet. This is according to Little Shop of Games. they are taking pre-orders with a $300 deposit. I really hope its not a cheap piece of Plexiglas with artwork.

It launches tomorrow, so at least we'll get to see it.
Only a $1000....... so that means it isn't going to be cutting edge. Rush is $1700 and it moves. Mando is $2000 and it's "special".
Seems like $1000 means it'll have some lights and be flat.
Same class as JP, Maiden, IQ and Bond (Hope I'm wrong). If it had a minor moving element like Turtles it'd be more than $1000 due to price increases. EHOH's last topper run with a minor moving element clocked in at $1300 (or was it $1400? I forget what the distros charged).
If it moves big: $1700
If it moves small: $1400
If it's "special": $2000
If it's a flat dud: $1000
I wonder why they'd go this way, since GZ has so many units sold? They could have grabbed thousands of orders for a moving topper at $1700.
Maybe they are tired of complex toppers and just want a quick buck. Nothing really to break.
The email says they are only building to pre-orders: so no extra stock. Typical Stern: Undersupply.
Very interested for tomorrow!!

Will certainly not be a special winner for this amount unfortunately... So yeah, plastic and leds
Holy shit that’s disappointing. Looks like they used the same Godzilla model as they did inside the game.
Wow, what a mailed in topper. This is what is considered the greatest modern game of all time gets as a topper? A few pieces of flat plastic and a reused figurine for $1,000? Extremely disappointing.
Thank you Stern for making people watch through your accessories video again to even see the topper.
Well, now we know why they are building to order/pre-order..... they already knew it was garbage.
So why release garbage?

Looks like a teenage puma or something, not Godzilla -
That sucked. Waited all this time for something that looks like they gave 5 minutes a thought. So disappointed.
Quoted from Bmanpin:This is rough. Some will buy but not many.
I think they'll sell every single one they make.
