Not a big mod buyer myself, but certainly not blind to the fact that Godzilla has to be one of the most celebrated and decorated pins ever. Some creative folks out there and they just keep coming. Really just curious given the 70th release, how much (roughly) does it cost to add all the major mods on this pinball machine? Thanks for your input - poll added!

Too much. Freaking Stumblor…

Yeah added a few more $ choices to poll.
Stern topper alone is 1k.

#4 43 days ago

Art blades and egg shooter rod so far.

#5 43 days ago

New speakers and pinmonk power supply fan which to me are almost must do given how poor those are stock.

Only mod I purchased were art blades. I think once you start replacing figures, buildings and stuff you can’t stop, because the rest will not look as good as the mod.

It’s a big number and why I’ll never sell the game. Stumblor and Diddy.

The pin that killed pinball.

#15 43 days ago

IMO....All those 3d printed mods contradict the art style of the original game, eventually you end up making a pin less convincing as a "world under glass" blocking inserts, plastics, and other features makes for a less convincing game and serves only to distract you from the games original intentions. Save your money and keep a clean game.

add a shit ton to the poll:Shit-ton
A Shit-ton is equivalent to 24 metric assloads, or 1/10th of a fuck-ton.Used to measure un-quantifiable amounts of something. Although it can be used in the measurement of very large people it actually is not a unit of weight.

Thanks for input everyone, looks like a barbell between those who don’t really dive into mods and those really in deep! Blown away at how many mods really exist out there.

#25 42 days ago

There are way more mods than I have.
There are several Mothras, several bridges, several Mecha Ramp toppers, Many jet airplanes, several tanks, Powdercoated everything. Toho toys of all the mosters i.e. Giderah, under the bridge plastic or metal, various signs like Godzilla eating rail, etc. Under cabinet lighting, Legs that light up, Fancy metal flippers, Flippers that light up, trough lights and decals. mulitple variations of toppers too.

#26 42 days ago

Lol I thought this was a quantity question at first. There certainly seems like there are at least 4000+ Godzilla mods.

Yes, was initially curious $ dollars involved for the all the major ones but appears you are correct!

#29 42 days ago

Anyone interested in the TEP first Godzilla topper? Awesome topper but won’t work for me on the 70th.

Anyone who spends 5 grand on mods for a game needs their head examined.
If you have cash to burn I will take it. Cause that's what mods are. Burned cash with no value

There are very few mods that return any value. Toppers. ColorDMD. Anti-Reflective glass. Everything else is $0 value on resale

#32 42 days ago

It’s more than $5k

IMG_6712 (resized).jpegIMG_6712 (resized).jpegIMG_6861 (resized).jpegIMG_6861 (resized).jpeg

To be clear - this is not for relate but for pure maximum enjoyment of this game. The cost is subjective to each person. I would not trade this machine for an LE or 70th EVER.

Has full Pinwoofer system with sub which of course you cannot see.

LOL. Who is talking about resale? Like opinions and other body parts, everyone has one. If I was a flipper or one of these buy cheap and sell it before it is delivered people, I would agree with you. Some of us have pinball machines that are bolted to the floor. Enjoy playing them and customizing them to our tastes. You should see the cash I burn on my other hobby Classic Muscle Cars. Pinball is a drop in the bucket compared to it.

Pinwoofer is great on every machine. That said, it makes far more of a difference on my GNR.

#36 41 days ago

Would love to see one of those $5k+ mods games with the glass off or the back box light off— too much glare in the Ones posted to see all the mods very well.

#37 41 days ago

Think I'm around $1500. No intention to add any further mods or topper at this time. Really happy where it's at.

From the foo topper thread.

But then I'm biased so ignore me!

Instead, let me just thank all the crazy modders in this thread and elsewhere, for making godzilla the most modded game of all time. Your support has literally been life changing for me. Stumblor Pinball wasn't anything more than a fun side hustle before the Tokyo Neon - now its got the potential to allow my wife leave her job that she hates, and that makes me so proud.

Modding isn't the same as it was 3 years ago @ASAC_Schrader, it's evolved, more sophisticated, and more interactive. It's growing, and so are the support frameworks around it. We're here to stay, so we may as well come to a peace with that, regardless of whether you think we're all mad.

Kudos for everything you have done for you and your family! Keep up the great work brother! The hobby it’s a better place with your passion and hard work!

My GZ Pre is my only game and I enjoy tricking it out with choice, quality mods. I have the full Stumblor assortment and more coming eventually. Still a few more things like speaker lights and pinwoofer. May do a bridge mod and Drake building at some point, although the install to Diddy's Drake building looks too intense for me.

All in, I have $3k invested. I couldn't give a rat's ass about resale. It's never moving.

Godzilla is the only game I go all out on. All the Stumblor mods including the tank, Atomic Godzilla and Atomic Godzilla topper mod. Won’t ever sell the game and Davey’s mods are huge improvements to the game.
