How I installed LED Godzilla
1. I installed 2x 3mm red LEDs with drill bit and hot glue, see here- https://amzn.to/3HTgvb5
Mechagodzilla has 7x (3-12v) LEDs- https://amzn.to/3BdXRry and https://amzn.to/3HTgvb5
2. I used 4 in 1 wire speaker wire, drilled hole side of the tail of Godzilla and fed wires through.
3. Next with the machine off I routed wires back of playfield where there's a hole to feed into. I ziptied along the way to a red LED bulb. I tested the led beforehand and reads 5.4v, LEDs are 6v rated so it's ok.
4. I soldered positive wires to positive tab and negative to negative tab on nearby red light bulb socket which flashes during destruction sequences of the game.
Now Godzilla is alive. When Stern raised their prices and gave us a junky Godzilla figure I was disappointed so I had to do something cool.
*Mechagodzilla was complicated but basically connected blue LEDs wires to blue forcefield target's LED and fire arrow LED to red LEDs on Mecha's body but yellow LED eyes were connected to nearby GI light . I didn't include installation pics for Mechagodzilla, sorry. maybe I will make a video guide later.
