Yeah, but what you're hearing is out of context when considered in proportion to the 200+ episodes they've done over many years. They're actually pretty good pinheads and very knowledgeable regarding collecting, repairing, and playing games.
Just not the biggest JJP game fans - particularly Bruce. Ron (who also co-hosts the Silverball Chronicles podcast on TPN) loves Dialed In and considers that to be JJP's best game to date.
To Ron's credit he puts play over theme. It could be a very nice game, game wise but rather of the play sucks then he leaves it.

I was just goofing but when they just trash every pin JJP has put out it makes them sound like petty fan boy idiots
Played it today for the first time at Pinballz Original in Austin.
Flippers definitely felt better that the last few JJPs I've played on location (a nice Hobbit and a beat up GnR) but I just couldn't get into it.
The middle of the playfield looked REALLY dark (which surprised me considering how it looks in videos) and it just seemed so FLAT and barren after playing a ton of JP and GZ at home with their steep ramps.
Obvious couldn't hear it very well in the arcade so can't really comment on call outs etc.
I'd try again if I see one but can't say I'll seek it out.

Meh , when their favourite games are ones like meteor and stars , you can understand why . There's too much going on for them and the LEDs burns their old eyes

I really like that cabinet art. Not to say that I dislike the LE art, but this CE art is just next level. Even without the bling this is just gorgeous. As I look at the overall package, I do wonder if some gold trim around the backbox would have been more... IDK, symmetric.
I think you might have posted this pic also but using it as a reference.. Could use gold backbox trim around the border or just me?

This game has received its 50th rating this week. It will be included in next weeks Pinside Pinball Top 100 calculation!
When I look at the public rating comments, this is more likely to be an entry around 50th place.

normally update Monday morning; the CE will be rated much higher. I wonder anyway why it took so long with 50 ratings for the LE. With the GnR it went very quickly.

You get what you pay for. Quality wise, JJP makes a better product than Stern.

I agree and patiently await my Godfather CE - But I am still able to understand they are grossly overpriced and know the LE at the price it's at is not going to be flying off the shelves.
hello, I installed the beta version....it is great: no more video..manual available.....is there a jukebox mode? in attract mode, I heard a different version of the music but couldn't hear it again.
I've had mine since early April. Here to say I'm loving it as much as the day I got it. Play it nearly every day and it has a "one more game feel". You CE owners are in for a real treat.
