Well if it's Godfather, I can't imagine it setting sales on fire. Harry Potter would destroy all comers. But maybe it's themed like Kingpin with guns and slot machines and Godfather will do ok, even at crazy pricing?
Lets face it, if its Godfather someone at the top was a big fan and couldn't resist jumping on it. This is not a theme for everyone.

Funny thing. The second time I was MC for jack's seminar at Expo. I wanted to do a godfather style introduction claiming he'd build a pinball machine you couldn't refuse. Unfortunately he nixed it.

We shall see. JJP made a good game out of Wizard of OZ I think they can handle the greatest gangster epic of them all.
1940s Mafia with racketeering, gambling, bootlegging, prostitution, drug trafficking, money laundering, robberies, bribing cops & politicians, and of course MURDER on the way to becoming the #1 crime syndicate in NYC.
Sounds like a great theme to me.

I agree, i think it's a heavy theme, and maybe not very fun, but you can see with the pinball they already made that they can do a great pinball from a non fun theme. I think it will be a bit dark and serious, but very moody and good atmosphere.
Let's wait and see.

Woz is cheerful, happy with lots of joyful tunes along the way, and also very important a clear path/progression and goal.

No need to prop a theme up by crapping on another one, plenty of people would have been excited for Scooby Doo if JJP had got the license.

When you make a sales flop, time to crank up the line with something else, ASAP. It will be interesting to see where pricing falls this time.
They cut POTC quickly due to the backlash over disc-gate and trunk-gate. Too quickly, it turned out, because when people finally got a chance to go hands-on with it, demand went through the roof and they had already canned it and moved on. In this case, they have real-world, wide sales confirmation TS4 is a flop, so no danger in rapidly getting away from the stinkbomb.
