Is there an owners thread yet, searched couldn't find it??? I get my LE tomorrow!
Deposits are in for this one and PF, both CEs. Can I afford it? I cannot. Do I have credit? I do. So these represent two of the films my fiancée and I love the most? They (along with my Halloween pin) cover our top three pretty flawlessly.
Quoted from Aurich:Have to make it to the other location next time.
Weird Al is at West Hills as well.
Quoted from Metaluna5:Here's a closer look at my artwork for Jersey Jack Pinball's Godfather pinball, ...
Well done Sir!
My only regret is that I wish Fredo & Connie hadn't been removed (and Tom Hagen had been included) so the whole Corleone "family" was represented.

LMFAO!
Did you tattle on me? Teacher said I was bad and now I'm praying my parents don't get a call.
Quoted from solarvalue:Weird Al is at West Hills as well.
Yeah, it's on my list, but that location is further away for me, so it's not the default to just drop in and play some pins.

Cool man. I must have missed that one.
No worries.

You have to plan a day to do anything 2 miles from the house out there.
I had a contract for 6 months in Cali, lived in Playa del Rey for a bit. Thought i would bop down to Walmart for a cheap beach cruiser, ended up on Crenshaw, but didnt get debowed! All day deal for something 45 miles away.

Oh! Very elite but I canceled my order after my feelings got hurt on a Pinball Website.
Just pulled the trigger on an LE today. I know this game is stupid expensive but life is short. I just couldn’t resist!
Anyone know if there are official art blades coming? Or are there aftermarket options already? I may go with mirror blades if not.

I don't think JJP has released art blades in the past, have they?
I recommend Pingraffix. I install them on my POTC and so far am very happy with them. I love the fact that they cut the hole for the head bolts, a nice touch.

GnR had official blades, but maybe they were licensed out.

Looks like you're as deep into the GF movies as we are. Actually live life as directed by the man himself.
I assume you have the various printed material that goes along with the movies??

Nice! I get mine this weekend. I have been looking for blades but not yet I think. Mirrors may look pretty good on this one.
Is there an owners thread for owners of threads? So they can meet monthly and discuss the troubles of owning a thread?

Those are with the lights on, unless you are talking about the lights in the game??

Haha, I just grabbed it off alibaba as a joke. I think it was way too big, like for gardens.
Ebay and Etsy have small ones in different poses.
What's the current wait time for a Godfather now? Just curious if anyone has inquired about buying recently. Curious how well JJP is keeping up with orders.. they have to be swamped!

Pretty sure you can get an LE in a few weeks. They primed the pump with a lot of machines pre-made. CEs aren't shipping for a little bit, though.
I like the way they have games ready to ship day one!It wasn’t always that way.Anti JJP Pinsiders use to harp on that issue a lot.
Now they’ve solved supply issues, flipper issues and playfield issues! Now they need to eliminate the over use of multi ball and try to get a hold on pricing
Quoted from Pinball-Wiz:What's the current wait time for a Godfather now?
distro said CEs in June firm until hearing otherwise
In the last pages the criticism is narrowed down to multiball frequency and in that regard narrowed even further down to location play besides 1-2 voices wanting to play with factory setting anyway but that certainly is a tiny minority most i know myself included have no problem changing setting if it suits play.
Still TG is a polarizing pin esp on lights music and callouts but the "haters" seem to be exhausted. Most criticism came after Karls stream where he had severe problems still in the end he ordered a TG. Then we had that early delt review that fueled uncertainty and confusion.
But that is over more and more very good reviews fly in so its more and more clear that its rare to be somehow into this pin you either fall in love or refuse play.
I myself ordered my CE early just on the Featurette. Was very confused and uncertain about the gameplay for above reasons but my love for the theme and the will to finally own a JJP machine with deep code kept me in (bc noone said there isnt deep code) happy about that now bc my distro has sold out CEs
Quoted from PinMonk:Pretty sure you can get an LE in a few weeks. They primed the pump with a lot of machines pre-made. CEs aren't shipping for a little bit, though.
I will never understand why they punish the CE buyers. Every time.
Have played Godfather 2 different times now.
Gets better and better.
Shoots really well. Looks unbelievable. Lights and sound are killer in person. Flippers are strong as well. Got a shot to be best game by JJP in my opinion.
Quoted from zaphX:I will never understand why they punish the CE buyers. Every time.
It's hard to get all the stuff to assemble machines. CEs have more stuff and all of it is custom. So they can either let the line sit idle and go broke to avoid "punishing" a grown man buying a $15k toy, or just crank out product and make payroll.
Quoted from zaphX:I will never understand why they punish the CE buyers. Every time.
It's good business though.. they are sold out of the CE's, those are guaranteed Sold units. Meanwhile, some will buy the LE because they want to play it now and don't want to miss out. Tons of LE's rolling out that they probably wouldn't sell had they just rolled out 1000 CE's first IMO.
Quoted from VisitorQ:Those are with the lights on, unless you are talking about the lights in the game??
[quoted image][quoted image]
I was looking to see them with the game lights on and house lights off. If possible. I like the reflection on them.
Quoted from zaphX:I will never understand why they punish the CE buyers. Every time.
It does seem weird, especially given the enormous premium they're paying. I would think running ALL the CEs, then some LEs to prime the pipe would make sense, but maybe they're not confident in selling all their CEs? Even in that case, making say, 100 CEs would be better than making those buyers wait for their increased support of JJP.
Quoted from Makakka:In the last pages the criticism is narrowed down to multiball frequency and in that regard narrowed even further down to location play besides 1-2 voices wanting to play with factory setting anyway but that certainly is a tiny minority most i know myself included have no problem changing setting if it suits play.
I hope that's a good sign. I was thinking there would more complaints on how empty the playfield looks IMO, but i am only looking at photos and havent seen in person yet and playfields can always look and feel vastly different in person. They have all that deep space in the cabinet and the only thing that reaches the top of the glass is the head of the large caporegime mech. Was hoping there was just a little bit more crammed in that back half. Lots of compliments on diverters affecting gameplay, that must be where this machine shines.
I always assumed part of the decision to run CEs second would be due to the more complicated BOM, possibly even having to wait for some of the things the CE will need for assembly, and also being able to work out potential bugs or issues on the games that won’t be as limited or complicated first. It’s probably easier to replace a whole LE than a whole CE. Plus they can get the LEs in the wild for additional play testing without sacrificing CEs for that.
Quoted from PinMonk:maybe they're not confident in selling all their CEs?
Maybe they design all the CE accoutrements last and just don't have all the custom parts in hand to build them yet.
Think about it.
If the CE was first out of the pipeline, you'd invest $15k and enjoy the game. Then some months later, the LE is thousands less, and all you hear is hype "the LE is every bit as good, or even better than the CE"....you have lost your faith in the machine manufacturer, feeling you'd been ripped off. The manufacturer has lost a customer for life.
Table reversed, you buy the cheaper one, and enjoy it. Then the more expensive one comes out, you're pleased that you got a "deal". Repeat customer...
Psychological.
CE buyers are more picky and generally less inclined to fix things themselves, so better to work out the bugs on the LEs first.
I agree LEs should go out first BUT....the CEs should be on the line already. But I'm totally biased waiting for one. lol. n
Quoted from insight75:I agree LEs should go out first BUT....the CEs should be on the line already. But I'm totally biased waiting for one. lol. n

Stern gets out LEs before Premiums or home Pros. Just sells more LEs and Prems for them. They moved home pros to the bottom of the production stack and ADDED 5-6 months to encourage people buy upward to get a machine sooner.
There are supposedly some CE's showing up at TPF. Maybe they are getting a start on those as well in advance of mass shipments.

Wrong.
Early adopters are enthusiastic supporters. They are willing to tolerate fixes and bumps.
As it stands, CE buyers pay the most and sit on the sidelines for N months while everyone else enjoys and streams their game.
CE is becoming a harder sell for me between this and the exorbitant prices.
