Quoted from PiperPinball:

Good Fellas would have been better than Godfather. At least that has some humor in it.
“Is this your pen multiball?” Lol
Agreed tired of super heros and music theme pins.
However, what i was saying there is better, newer, themes than an old movie like ‘God Father’. Might was well make a ‘West Side Story’ pin while they are at it!
Caddy Shack and Top Gun hit all demographics including deep pocket Baby Boomers.

Hopefully Steve’s first JJP pin is Top Gun, could be a massive hit if done right.

Quoted from ripit:

I said I wasn't going to buy another machine besides the MMr ever. That is it enough is enough. I'm a Rock. I ordered the CE 30min. ago. I have issues.

We meet Thursdays at 7.

LE looks more like a standard model. CE is the new LE these days at JJP. Looks like a great game and can’t wait to play one on location if anyone gets one. No pinball is game is worth these prices in my world but that’s ok, I don’t need to buy shit. I’ll just dump money in it when I see one.

#1304 1 year ago
Quoted from cscmtp:

I wonder if this will make me want to play more than once on location. Can't say the same about the last 2 or 3 pins they have put out. They really need to turn a corner and make their pins fun to shoot, not just pretty to look at.

Thanks for your input God knows that Wonka and GnR shit they put out was so boring lol

Hope so.

Apparently Star Trek Next Gen was originally for the movie ‘Under Siege’.

Maybe there is still hope

Quoted from BoJo:

After watching the half hour long featurette I think it looks great. However I also like the theme and owned a Sopranos so might be biased. Price aside it's probably the only JJP I would personally ever want to own. I think it will be a sleeper but unfortunately many might not get to play on location with the 12k LE being the cheapest option for Operators.

The featurette really explains the board-game approach to the pin, and I think it's great.

The only question is...will the code for this ever be finished and the game scoring get a polish at the end? It's been YEARS (almost 5 and 3 years, respectively) and jjPotC and GnR are both unfinished. Not a good look for JJP, especially now that $12k/$15k is their buy-in norm.

Ugh...I'm out of room...Now on Step 92 of the pinball sickness...Trying to justify putting a pin in the dining room because I've run out of room in the basement

#1309 1 year ago

I would like it if Eric redesigned the Dungeons and Dragons pinball next

You're fine. There's no concern until you have pins in the kitchen and hallway.

Steven Seagal is waiting for your call, JJP

Haha, is that step 137 of the sickness?

We laugh, but I've literally seen it IRL, and I COMPLETELY understand it. But that's why I backed off from the too-large collection I had and now limit myself to two pins at any given time. I didn't want to be that guy, too.

Pinball: The Addiction is Real.

Congratulations to Eric and Keith for a job well done! Also, Franchi knocked it out of the park as he usually does on the art package. If into this movie, this is the game, with lots of extras. Enjoyed the featurette done by SDTM explaining the board game approach. Game looks high end on the CE. Meticulous approach by Eric in design and detail.

I thought jjp made family friendly games. Now the main toy is holding a machine gun? That pin stripe suit on him kinda cheapens the whole art package in a bad looney toon kind of way bugsy.

#1316 1 year ago

I'm sure it will be amazing but they have gone to far with that CE cabinet, it's so fucking gawdy, just covered in crap.

You are doing well. That is something to be proud of. I'm trying really hard to keep a small collection. I'm not doing well.

Lloyd, are you going for it?

I'm leaning towards I think so. A couple interested. I'll see how things roll out. Between here and Facebook something might happen. Too early to tell.

Ha ha! That is us! Full and overflowing and it does not matter what comes out, we have to say no.

#1325 1 year ago

Looks interesting, hopefully the code will be great. imo I looks like a Godfather sim game not really true to the Godfather films. That’s probably a good way but almost could have been a mafia pin without needing the GF tie in but I guess the license sells better.

I’m still wait and see mode likely pass, possibly get a Final Resistance of the several new releases available. I’m not a million percent sure but I was leaning towards a P3 unless I was blown away by GF or FF.

Congrats to JJP, game looks awesome. Hopefully JJP get their QC right and there are many, many happy owners.

.

This is a solid approach...we've seen the "hit a shot, advance a movie clip" style a bit recently and it's...not great.

This scene was from Casino. That would be a great title as well.

Whats Crasino ?

Oh Casino! That would be an even better theme! Riverboat Gambler / Sopranos.

Have gambling modes where the player could cheat. But if they get caught: Hammer on the hand mulitball. Then only one flipper would work.
Then if u loose both balls. It Balls in the vice!

#1332 1 year ago

Hope these sell well enough to get one down the line. With GZ and FF there isn't room or money for GF. The SDTM video does a good job of selling it. Pretty exciting time for pinball, lots of great options.

Oh, they will sell fine. With the shit loads of money in the hobby and the impulse buying of $15k games on a whim by so many... The market will have plenty to go around.

The state of this hobby is Fucking nuts.

Game looks interesting for certain.

UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE!!!

This has never happened in the history of Pinside

Except dozens of times whenever a new game is revealed.

Quoted from Rolls-Royce:

No. I'm out of locations since a number of them went away in the pandemic and they operator I worked with got out. Not saying forever, but at least for now, no locations.

I don't have a Godfather ordered, but watching the featurette, I'd like to spend some time with it recreationally (and I have to temp-test it anyway), so I'll probably bring one in after I work through temp-testing/modding the fatberg of new pins I have coming in essentially all at once. Once I clear that out I can get some breathing room.

Its a Steve Brule bit

#1349 1 year ago

I hope i don't ruffle any feathers with this opinion but i really don't like the art. it's by far a bajillion times better then anything i could personally do. but there is something just really unappealing about it.. I kind of just wish there was more colour to it, y'know? there are alot of great scenes and area's portrayed in the movie that would of been fantastic to add to the play-field here but instead it just looks kind of generic?

#1350 1 year ago
Quoted from Jkush18:

I don't see any roses in Spider-Man?

I think people are really reaching on stuff here. You know there's only so much you can do on a playfield, right?
