    Quoted from High_End_Pins:

The very common and widespread myth that chemicals used in older coatings are outlawed is not true for the most part unless you are talking about things like lead and asbestos or CA based manufacturing specifically.
The real issue is that these older and quite frankly better chemicals are not as fast ,easy nor compliant as the more modern replacements so companies are pressured to adapt or are doing so for ease of production.
Things can completely be done the old reliable way but few have the patience for it.
They are acting like they are all about quality and proceeding in a manner that is about nothing but cost and ease.
A digital print is easier and cheaper than a screen print. A universally compliant finish coat is the path of least resistance than a probable more robust and toxic version.
The balancing act of the modern business and manufacturing climate is showing its true effects on the end customer these days.
Your paying for the fantasy of it and not really getting it.

Thank you for this. I certainly trust your information on this subject. It is what many of us have thought for quite a while now.

Stop trying to minimize a serious issue.

Levi is like Pin Derek. So caught up in his pinball persona that he doesn’t care if people get high quality machines. He only cares about a variety of pins to play which I bet he doesn’t buy. It is about him only.

For those trying to downplay the PF issues to help protect the resale value of these defective machine I will say. You should worry about the value because I believe the levy is about to break and people will not want these pins at all. The price on these defective machines will plummet in the near future. Using POTC as an example won’t save you. It is about over for defective machines getting top dollar IMO. Sometimes the wheel come off in a hurry......

I’m OUT! Canceled my GnR LE and am picking up a STTNG this weekend! Couldn’t be happier and saved a ton of cash

    Quoted from EricHadley:

At least I know I can fix it! Pool and chipping…..Fucked.

Yes and Yes. Good for you. What some here don’t seem to know is there was a time when a person could have lots of fun playing pinball and at the same time keep a very nice machine. That matters to some who used to have that option. With a defective playfield you have 0% chance of keeping a nice machine. In the past in most cases a good coat of wax and some small things you could fix/replace yourself was all you needed to keep your machines real nice if you wanted.

If anyone here is from Massachusetts call Solve it 7. Our local news networks will get to the bottom of this........

    Quoted from zaphX:

Right? We find this one more difficult to tilt than the others. I don't know if it's a factor of where it is in the room upstairs, or what...we configured the bob like we normally do. That said I'm not inclined to make it tiltier either.

Who is we? The Pin Derek Gang you assembled after you found your new persona. You must be an important person now. No wonder you are holding on so tight. Embarrassing beyond belief.

    Quoted from underlord:

    Alright dude, let it go...

I will let it go when he stops mocking people who are rightfully upset with getting a defective playfield. And calling me an A hole isn’t helping to make me stop either.

    Quoted from zr11990:

So someone needs make shirts that say Jersey Junk Pinball and then underneath that Guaranteed to crack you up but have the you Xed out. We can wear those to the pinball shows

My guess would be JJP is lucky there are no major pinball shows right now because I bet they wouldn’t show their faces at one.
