Quoted from shovelhed:

Fuck it, Own both of them . Its pinball, each one is great in its own way. A mini concert vs a mechanical monster.

I own both- very fortunate. LE GNR and GZLE. Both are fabulous. GNR code is amazing (still needs some tweaks) and the latest GZ code is great (still immature but much better than the original).

Currently I've been playing a s**t ton of GZ- can't get enough of it- snappy flippers and great shots. I then started GNR- so much different. Yes, this game is a little slower but the journey and strategy are outstanding. Each song is different- so much to explore. If you are a beginner player you will be frustrated.

Most of my family and friends are not avid pinballers and most like GZ better- a little easier to understand and shoot.

I am very picky about the machines I keep. I enjoy playing the games, not collecting (nothing wrong with that). Recently I have unloaded a bunch of my 90s games. I have most of the recent releases at home- EVHOH, R and M, Wonka, BKSOR, SW, BM 66. Avenger IQ, DP and these are all great for novices, but particularly for seasoned players.

Both GNR and GZ are staying here for the long haul. You can't go wrong with either one or both.
