I currently have a GnR LE, and as much as I like it, I'm not sure it's a bolted to the floor game.

I have been curious about Lebowski and Alien, so I wanted to ask people here who have either owned or played these games.

If you could only own one of these three machines, what would it be?

Be sure to vote.

Cheers!

TBL

All day, every day, and twice on Sunday!

Its kind of an apple oranges and bananas question and they’re all different. I own 2/3 with The other on order so they are all great pins (obviously I think so since I’m going to own them), but for me it’s TBL and it’s not close.

Alien is an oddity. When mine worked correctly, it was pretty fun, but not a keeper and not really close to being one.

GnR is too much multiball. More chaos than fun. Great sound, lights, and callouts, but not really fun to shoot.

TBL is fun to shoot, a dream theme for me, and is a solid pin. Better than the other two.
The rules leave much to be desired, however.

Wow - really disappointed to hear this about Alien. I’ve played it several times and keep hoping that next play is going to be the one that really locks it in my brain. But it’s yet to happen. I guess I know what that means.

Not that interested in TBL although I know it’s very well revered. I’m curious what the results are on this question

Alien was one of the biggest "so close and yet so far" stories I can remember in recent memory.

Lebowski and GNR are both In my gameroom. NOTHING can come close to the visual spectacle of GNR. It’s in a class of its own. Period. It’s impressive as all hell and everyone loves it who encounters it for the first time. Lebowski is a dream theme and to this day as good as anything else on the planet for theme Integration. A must have and a standout. If I had to get rid of one no questions asked it would be GNR. I love both but the theme and the gameplay and the fact that new and deeper code is on the way for Lebowski. You can’t lose. Alien I couldn’t care less. Never played one, don’t care to go out of my way to try one. Don’t get the hype. Just my personal opinion.

Love all three but Gnr is my dream theme. Boils down to theme for each pin head. All offer unique gameplay. It’s a personal choice.

For me, theme is secondary. I am not a fan of Godzilla at all, but the game is a blast.

For me it's about what games shoots best, and has a rule set to keep you interested.

So with that... Is it still Lebowski in the lead?

Well I've played Alien & GNfR but not TBL.

So very very easily TBL.

Make up your own mind. Opinions swing all over the place... from reasonable to pure insanity. Pick the game that suits you, sir.

Do you like GNR as a band?

Pick GNR.

Do you like bowling and and wear Jeff Bridges face on a tshirt?

Pick TBL.

Do you like your pinball yelling "Assholes and elbows" and Bill Paxton yelling Game Over!?

Pick Alien.

Meh on all 3. My Alien and TBL are next up on the chopping block.
Love the Alien theme, but not the gameplay. Don't like that feeding the upper flipper is chance. Really don't like the visually covered outlanes. Don't find the modes particularly fun. Aside from a few of the mb's, you can see most of what the game has to offer in a couple plays.
I like TBL more, but don't find the collecting characters to start a mb part of the code enjoyable. Good for a game now and then but rarely two in a row.
Played GNR on location a few times. Got carpal tunnel from the mb's. Only game I've ever been excited to drain mb's on.

You should play all 3, but for me:

TBL > Alien >>>>>>>>> GNRLE

TBL competes with GNRLE in the looks dept too IMHO.

I Got GnR le and Alien lv - I never played TBL.

The enjoyability and lastability are the most important.

1) TBL is Fun but and various. No one complains about this game. Accessible for all - à Bally williams style. Rank 1 for main stream players. I don’t have it so maybe it influences me…

2) Alien is definitely a good choice. It’s very immersive so you can thrill a lot. So feelings during play are intensive. A strategy will keep you busy for long. Not very accessible for low score player and rather hard to manage in dept. Theming is a matter of taste. Love it or hate it - that’s why I rank it 2.

3) GnR looks and sounds great but the rules set is not fun and very repetitive. For casual play and exhibition purposes this game is cool. Or for for collectible… rank 3.
