Some of the recent Williams style flipper mechs are prone to sticking when the up and down play is adjusted properly. Perhaps it is machining differences in the brackets that hold the coil, but I have had to replace the bushings with the slightly longer older Bally style to center the plunger in the sleeve to keep it from binding when the up and down play is adjusted properly.
