I've had a hell of a time with the center scoop on GnRLE sending the ball SDTM, I tried adding washers underneath to one side, messed with the coil settings.
What is the surefire fix for this? It's killing my enjoyment of the pin
Check to see if the top bracket on the kickout is loose. If so, hold it all the way to the left and tighten it back down though the guitar head with a 1/4" hex nut driver.

Tried that, still getting SDTM unfortunately

You should be able to loosen the screws from the top of the playfield that hold the scoop and rotate the scoop as far left as possible.
If you have the right screw/hex driver you should NOT have to remove the upper playfield to get to the screws.
I would highly recommend NOT removing the upper playfield.
When you tighten down, do NOT over-tighten or you risk stripping the wood.
Make sure the washers that you added are in the right spot. The GNR owner's thread has a few posts about this fix.

I put them on the right side of the scoop underneath the playfield...Is that the correct spot to put that?
I'll try bending the scoop as well.
Thank you all

I can't remember off-hand if that is the right spot or not. I never had to add washers, just loosening the screws and rotating worked for me. Make sure you're not 'bending' anything, just rotate the hood after loosening the screws.

Washers go on the left side as you are looking at it from under the playfield.
See post# 18303 in the GnR owners thread for pics.
This fix works perfectly with the scoop being tight and all the way to the left
Ok guys. I was able to fix my issue with a two part fix
A) I added the washers as referenced in the post. This helped. It would still not bounce off the flipper, but at least it veered the ball to where I had a small chance of getting. I still recommend trying that first
b) I used duct tape to build a 3-4 layer thickness then applied that in the scoop to cushion and left the distal right part of where the ball rested. This worked perfectly and I would imagine that one can add or subtract layers to aim to one’s liking.
Hope this helps
