If you wanted a CE and couldn't get one, what will you do now?

Quoted from woody76:LOL, no but GNR has put it on another level
This all boils down to people wanting what others can't have. If they increase the number of CE's, all the other guys will start crying because they don't get to say "I have one and you don't," which I think is the most childish.
I'm not enough of a GnR fan to buy the game at all, but I understand the frustration of people being denied the version that they want because of a number and saying "forget it" altogether.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:These polls are not scientific. I said I'm in for a Standard and I have zero intention of ever buying a NIB game.
The post says "If you wanted a CE and couldn't get one..."
Someone who isn't a troll would simply have not responded.
If you take the current 28 people who say they won't buy the game because they can't get the CE at their word, that's $350,000 in lost revenue. Obviously this isn't a scientific or definitive poll, but I think there's enough here to suggest there's significant loss of revenue, whatever the actual amount. We're a fragile sort in this hobby.

I actually listened to some of the songs from the game, some of them I knew, some I wasn't so familiar with. I do like their music. I could see myself maybe wanting this game depending on how I like playing it, but I don't like the idea that I have to commit to buying it before I get a chance to play it, or even see real game play, if I want a CE with all the features. I'm sort of worried that this game is going to feel too much like guitar hero. I think they should release the standard versions of the game and then once people can develop an informed opinion on the game, offer a collector's edition, if they want to offer one. People in this hobby often whine about people buying games sight unseen, but then these high demand titles come out and you have no other choice. I definitely understand the position of not wanting a game at all if you have to commit $12,500 to it before you even get to try it, otherwise you can't get all the features.
Quoted from CUJO:Why the magic limit 500 number anyways? Why can't it be 1000? I was a pre-order buyer for JJP's startup with WOZECLE and was supposed to be no more than 1000 made, ever, so I thought...Was paid in FULL for almost a year before I got my game.
I can't remember how it went after those 1000 LE's were delivered, but I think JJP made 1500 Standards, then RubyReds then YBR versions?? Lost track.
The game has more special magic in it the fewer people have access to it. Studies have shown that the fun factor increases 87% for each person that can't get a game.
