Any pinsiders have some really awesome 80s glow-in-the-dark carpeting in their home game room or perhaps a business location? If so, where did you get it, and who installed it? Pics? Also, how did you account for proper illumination of your pins with both ambient lighting and black lighting?

    Thanks!

Its called Joy Carpets I believe. Amazing stuff really, tons of designs. I have not installed it (thought about it, but realized it would require moving all the pins out of the room, and that's not happening).

I have one of these illuminating a small 12x8 area, covers perfect at about 7' height.

I’d love to get some, but my gaming area is small. Anybody in wi want to split an order? I won’t have enough for a minimum order.

    they have area rugs

I have carpet over concrete right now, so an area rug wouldn’t be an option. I could pull carpet up and lay area rug over concrete, but the heat loss in winter would be ridiculous.

ahhh for sure! i was going to do the same. ended up laying some vinyl flooring, certainly probably doesnt make sense in your situation

What I could do, maybe is use an interlocking Wood laminate Floor. But I’m sure I’d have to do some leveling. But it would help with heating, then use an area rug.

I was looking for carpet the other day. This will come in handy thanks.

Price was reasonable and they have a lot of patterns to choose from. The manufacturer cut it to any size I wanted and put the rug bead edge bead on for me. You can customize the colours. AND they ship to Canada.

The best lighting solution is 4 foot long fluorescent tubes in the ceiling or 18 inch long tubes mounted under your games. I’ve had poor results with black light leds, but the tech has probably improves since I tried it.

I’d be interested if anyone from Canada wanted to chime in. Been thinking about this for a while.

Me too, but price has always been a concern. I have a large area to do (+/- 600 ft2)

Is where I got my "Under the Sea". The price has come down since I bought mine. To save money I had them ship to a rerminal in town then I picked it up from there, saved $100 from being delivered to my house. For pad I didn't cheap out and went with 3/8 inch Memory Foam, got it at Menards when they had an 11% off sale. Memory Foam is anti bacterial and acts as a vapor barrier, dents from game feet bounce right back when you use carpet sliders under them and the 3/8 thickness is soft on bare feet without feeling mushy. Don't buy the cheap chip, thick pad it won't last. A family friend put my carpet and pad in so I got a deal. Light from above with a lot of bl and then put a 20 inch bl on the underside of each game, it will light up the carpet under the game beautifully (I did it) and it makes the game look like it's floating on the carpet.

I went back through my old posts to try and find a price for my rug. I think this was in Canadian dollars

    Quoted from Luckydogg420:

The rug is 10’x12’ and has an edge band sewn on. With shipping, customs, and dollar exchange it worked out to about $6.35 a square foot. In total this rug was just under $760.

    LOVE this room

I got mine from a local flooring company, they had it in stock. Shockingly it's call "game room". I use 2 of the same style light bars jandrea95 uses.

I purchased mine from Caldwell Carpet..... http://www.caldwellcarpet.com/discount-black-light-carpet.htm

They have a good selection of random sized remnants that may fit your space perfectly, or maybe with a little trimming....for a good price.

    Astro carpet mills.

They have the most selection, let you customize colors and have a stain protection guarantee. I’ve seen in person, that Joy doesn’t hold up as well.

Call around to your local carpet stores to see if they work with Astro. You’re gonna want a professional installation because making the pattern line up is an art!

Also, you're gonna want a thinner felt pad; think hotel industrial. You want to be able to roll carts and slide games easily.

Looks Nice! What's your electrical set up - Circuits, outlets?

Thanks! 8 20 Amp circuits. Each on their own light switch. 22 or 23 outlets. There is one every 3ft I think. The arcade is 600 sq ft. Have 25 games around the perimeter (pretty much full). No games in the center but there is an outlet in the center of the ceiling just in case.
