Quoted from srcdube:Interesting setup. I haven't checked my Paragon to see it it's set up the same. So the upper flipper doesn't actually trigger until the lower flipper has already completed its stroke? Can you actually see that or does it happen too fast?
Does flipper performance really improve? I'm looking at options to increase flipper power in my 1980 gottlieb Spider-Man, which has them wired in parallel with just single eos switches. Wondering how it would change to set it up like the globe-trotters. Probably fine for left flippers where they are separate... would change your shot for the two right hand in line flippers like on Paragon. Do other games use that method if the two flippers are in line? Just curious.
On my Harlem there was definitely a noticable, although not major, change in flipper strength when I bypassed the extra switch. An similarly on paragon and harlem I always feel like the upper flipper is a bit weird timing wise/etc due to the slight delay in its firing. I always disliked the delay but I found I preferred it to the weakened flippers. The proper solution (which Williams implemented) is to have two separate contacts on the flipper button, imo
