    Quoted from Jimmyd044:

Buffin from Mott the Hoople also passed away today. RIP

Another great band, Dale Griffin was only 67 too. RIP to both of them. Thanks for the music.

It's a shame to see so many from my generation die. 67 is only 4 years away for me. But darn it, I'm not leaving before I get my Hobbit.

All joking aside, I wonder how many pinheads did die while waiting for their WOZ?

at least you hope not. The rate hobbits going. I may die of old age before that happens.

Great musician that will be missed. Seven Bridges Road, although not my favorite of their songs, defines the Eagles for me. They can harmonize so well it lowers my blood pressure.

I did some googling and found an article quoting band members that he had ulcerative colitis and pneumonia. If accurate, any number of outcomes will surely become apparent to the few physicians on Pinside. If he did have a big surgery and ultimately got sick in the ICU etc, that can be very hard to overcome. Even our best medicine can't save everyone.

You will be missed Glen Frey...

He was susceptible to infections due to his biological drug for his rheumatoid arthritis and or ulcerative colitis. A lawsuit is likely. His manager was restricted by the lawyer from answering medical questions.

I won't edit my post, but I wasn't looking to stir the pot in that direction. I have no inside knowledge of the facts. I was only attempting to relate that he likely died from complications of serious health issues. Mortality is so hard to accept, especially with those we place on a pedestal.
