I see it this way, if you own the house, and pay the bills for it, you have first choice rights for a room in that house to do whatever you want with it.
Isnt is kinda funny how women all over the world seems to have the same need to control and "doll up" the entire house? I see the same scenario here in Sweden amongst friends (and had a similar one myself), and i read about these scenarios over in the US. ( nothing personal, ladies, just something ive noticed to be shared over borders 
)
