You should check your connector J120/121 where bumpers wires leave from, if not burned. If not, on the gilligan's, the lamp sockets in bumpers are on old system which become sometimes ineffective, you should replace it by a new one, and you will get bright light again.
If the cpu does not save settings, check your battery holder, you may have a bad contact on welds.
