Anyone I know going to this? Might be nice to have some eyes and ears on the ground.

Seems like it should be fun to go to, but I had planned on trying to pick up some WPPRs in Denver.

Just recieved the flyer in the mail today,Kind of tough to make travel plans with 2 days to go.You would think they would plan on sending out the flyer a week or two in advance so people would have time to set up travel and lodging. No chance of me making this one!

I enjoy game auctions and auctions in general. It's fun to see all the different machines and watch people kibitz and bid on different lots to see what they value them at. Also, it is good to see the familiar faces of people that you haven't run into in a while. I have had the best luck with odd lots, so to speak. That is, finding pinball machines at tool auctions and/or tools at pinball auctions. Those seem to be the best circumstances. With the fees these days, it seems pretty rare to get a great deal. I believe the buyers premium for this one is 15% in person and 18% for online bidders with a tax rate of 7.9% unless you are exempt. Hopefully they won't have a blizzard hampering the works, we wouldn't want to end up with machines scattered up and down the canyons!

I'm also gonna be getting all them WPPRs in denver. Dang

Is there possibly a reserve on these games?

    #9 2 years ago

looks like some good games. is it a pain in the --- to set up shipping online? I have never done this, but if the games go cheap it might be worth it.

    #10 2 years ago

Watching now. The pictures aren't very good but you can tell these games are rough - can't believe the winning bids.

    #11 2 years ago

give some examples for what things are going for. I'm stuck at work and not able to get the link to work

    #12 2 years ago

All are also + 18% + 7.9 tax if local

Luci - only thing that was decent $6,700
TAF - totally roached out playfield $4,900
    IJ - Super Faded $4,100
SM - cabinet looked horrible $3,600

Not sure if this link works if you aren't registered, but this is the results

Nice to see Pinball prices haven't inflated video prices yet..

Edit: Well.. In some cases, at least.

    #15 2 years ago

I would've bid on Luci but that 18% kills it.

    Holy cow..

If anyone WANTS a stoplight, $100. And I'll be making a mint off of it. Sheesh.

There's batshit, then there is this auction. Overpaying at auction is one thing, but the majority of those games could be find cheaper on Ebay. The best deals are the ones where people payed close to craigslist prices. Why go to an auction and pay Ebay or craigslist prices even?

I was shocked by these prices too. Did the bidders get carried away and not realize they were going to pay additional 15% plus sales tax?

Is it safe to say Colorado prices are now highest in country?

    #19 2 years ago

    Mile high prices....

    #20 2 years ago

I'm sure they'll be on C-list in a couple weeks for a $1000 more than they paid.

    #21 2 years ago

Seems like a lot when to California and Missouri

Industrial Auctions are my business and it has become a joke lately. Everyone sees the latest "flipping" show and they think they are the next millionaire. People go, see an item, look it up on eBay, see a price, and bid under it. Little do they know the item on eBay has been sitting there for 9 months. On top of it, most of the time they know nothing about the product they are selling, if it works, how it works, anything. In turn, the used buyer gets a overpriced piece of garbage, and turns the buyer off from buying used again. Luckily we have a diverse network, but I know a lot of decent people who moved to other industries because they couldn't eek a living out any longer. Adapt or die I guess.
