So I was changing out my GI lights behind the backglass. When they were all changed I then powered on the machine and boom the F2 (GI backglass / speaker) fuse glowed orange and blew. I unplugged the Z connector from the front door ad replaced the fuse 5V S/B and powered back up the machine the fuse held up no problem. So I isolated that the ground is in the door but I need to know how to DMM a bulb socket (44) and check the continuity of the wires that are daisy chained to the sockets. I did check the grounds leading to and from the boards to the cabinet and there were no breaks to be found. If I do have to replace the wires for the sockets do I still keep them bare and uninsulated? And why are they uninsulated to begin with?

It was a faulty socket .... I identified the socket tweaked it a little it is working so as long as I do not bump that socket. I will be replacing it though thanks for the help LTG!
