Getting close to the half way point on a playfield swap for Taxi, entering into dreaded GI wire stapling territory.

What size staples did they use at the factory? I have some 3/8" staples, but these seem a bit wider and thicker than the staples they originally used. Any recommendations?

I bought a staple gun from pinrestore, really a nice purchase if you get into doing a bunch of swaps

What size / thickness staples did you end up using? I think Taxi is the only one I have that has exposed GI wiring underneath. Hopefully there are very few staples in the rest.

I bought 2 boxes of the 2 sizes they listed on their side, either size is good

The staples used are from an upholstery stapler. It's a much thinner gauge than your typical stapler. Upholstery staplers are pneumatic so you'd need a compressor as well.

This is the one I use for ground braids, pop bumpers, well everything really.

Not trying to hijack the thread but ... the thread reminded me I even had the stapler. No games so no longer need it. Ordered from Pinrestore and used for about 2 restorations. As new in the box. Comes with box of 1000 staples. SOLD
