Can anyone report on their experience installing the GI OCD kit on a Funhouse?

#2 9 years ago

A+ and awesome.

It's a little tight, but not too bad. It's on the lower left. LED OCD is top right.

Damm, I am going to have to move my remote battery holder.

No differnt than any other GIOCD I've installed. Fit fine and worked great after a few adjustments to suit my lighting preferences. Only takes a few mins to do and a must if using LEDs on this game. The dimming isn't the same without when it hits midnight.

I put one in Whirlwind and it made a world of difference. Highly recommended!

Just a quick note that the current boards are slightly smaller than what Pezpunk shows installed. It's nothing that's going to make a huge difference, and you would still have to move a remote battery if it's hanging over there, but it does make it somewhat easier to get to the back row of screws.

Thanks for the helpful info. I have just bought a Funhouse which is a dream come true. Not my first pinball, but it's the one I always wanted!

I just put Herg's gear into our Funhouse today. Both LED OCD and GI OCD. LED OCD was far easier (imo); both are totally worth it.

Keep in mind that you'll need to actually use Windows to talk to the GI OCD board; to tell it that GI strings 4 and 5 should be active.

Can you only use windows? Or is there a Mac option?

#10 9 years ago

There is not a native Mac application, but you can you a VM.

#11 9 years ago

VM? Like Fusion

#12 9 years ago

Yeah, VMWare Fusion should work. I don't have access to a Mac, but I have used VMWare on Linux machine to run the OCD applications.

If you're only going to use Windows to configure OCD gear,
and don't mind reinstalling after 30 days, you can get a
