    No need to feel bad about any question! For the GI bulbs, they are A/C voltage which means they are non polarity sensitive. So they can be connected either way with no problem. Something light a flasher circuit which is DC voltage the tab that goes to the center of the bulb socket needs to be the positive voltage.
