Anyone have a GI they can post pics of under the cabinet of the flipper assemblies, flipper button switches and wiring associated with it…trying to get mine back to factory and the current assembles are wrong and the flipper switches are cherry switches

The Gilligan's Island (online PDF) manual is a little lacking in wiring documentation. Fortunately the circuit is pretty simple and straight forward.

You can use the leaf switches @ https://www.pinballlife.com/williamsbally-flipper-leaf-switch-single-contact.html for the flipper cabinet switches.

With the current setup i have, the lane change/intial entry does not work.. is that because of the cherry switches and lack of EOS on the current flippers?

What cherry switches? Where are they? I don't see any cherry switches. I see a non-factory board that is probably some form of fliptronic like circuitry and flipper assemblies without any EOS.

Follow the wires that are currently connected to the flipper solenoid lugs and find the colors that match the wiring diagram above. The wiring diagram indicates exactly how the flippers are wired. It looks like all the four required wires are present in the power harness.

The lane change is implemented with the 4N25 optocouplers on the Power Driver board. It requires the above wiring in order to work. It is not designed to be used with that non-factory presumed fliptronic like board. Worry about getting the flipper solenoids and wiring restored to factory first and then worry about the lane change.

If in doubt post images of the relevant section of the machine. That would be the flipper power and ground connectors at the Power Driver board and the flipper cabinet switches near the front of the cabinet. Ignore that non-factory board. It's not relevant if you want to restore factory.

What's going on here?

This is a reimport from Italy. A lot of them had that weird board.

A few pins I've seen have come in with a similar flipper coil replacement that is a common coil in Italy, with a spacer to allow it to fit.

As soon as practical the OP should put things to right with 11630 coils, correct End of Stroke switches, etc.

Crazy Italians.

This is the underside of my Gilligan's Island which was recently serviced by pinballplusMN and is functioning flawlessly. I got a pretty good straight on shot of the coils for the flippers but was only able to get a good shot of the right flipper button assembly

FWIW: mine appears to be a re-import by way of Germany, I believe. It still has the Deutschmark coin mechs and German danger/voltage warnings on the head/body

Hope this helps.
