Great material.

Great material.
Quoted from rai:To say that Jack greatly screwed the roll out on The Hobbit would be underestimating the word 'greatly'.
It's not like Jack had some master marketing plan roll out that backfired.
He simply ran out of money.
Hundreds more people would have been "ripped off" just like with Popadouche, Scat-B and other companies that could not manage their cash flow.
Quoted from Euchrid:Now, why this game is this far, temporally speaking, along in its production cycle and has so little code is anyone's guess.
Jack ran out of money, so code development obviously stopped.
Now that new investors have been found, coding can continue again.
Quoted from jwilson:Both Keith and Ted have been working on the game this whole time, but there were fundamentals that needed to be done first, unrelated to the game rules....
No one was laid off or wasn't working on the game.
If that is true, then there is no reason that the game should still be in beta ~3 years latter.
I had a deposit on the game but bailed when I saw JJPs D&B rating.
The game seems to still be playing the same software version from when I got out.
Quoted from Jvspin:You know this isn't true.
It sure seems true to me.
I've played it at every show, and now at the distributor.
There might be some micro-difference, but not 2 years of development difference.
Give me a break.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:So how did this play out? Was everybody tasteful?
Tasty more like it.
Quoted from frankmac:Is it safe to say that "JJP"Has aan overall better build quality than a "STERN" pinball machine?!
LOL
Same difference.
Same thickness 3/4 plywood cab construction, same thickness playfield construction, playfields sometimes made by the same company overseas, same occasional clearcoat problems.
Someone is going to point out some tiny detail, but they are more the same than different.
Quoted from DaveH:I want a F'ing tank to drive to work!!!
Only the cool kids get to drive a tank

Quoted from roffels:Like, for sure, what game doesn't get a ball stuck here or there? It just seems more frequent on the Hobbit.
People will start to identify all the ball traps as time goes by.
MM balls used to get caught on the castle tower and dragon. Williams issued clear guards to fix those problems.
