Just had the same thing almost happen on our SW-LE!
I was installing a Shaker Motor and noticed that the Kicker Mechanisms #6-32 screw was almost completely backed out + I've seen this on other Stern Pins that use the same mechanism.
I use blue Loctite on that screw & it should never happen again.
I also put some synthetic lube on the 2 places where you have metal to metal contact on the Kicker Mechanisms pivot rod (what the screw goes into).
