Quoted from TimeBandit:Ok, just to clarify a bit more, and indicate that I'm not looking for anyone to agree or disagree with me, here is a data point..My playfield was built in June. It is an early run premium playfield, made at the same time as the LE playfields. It has been untouched for four months. It has no ghosting. I am hoping that I am lucky and that maybe mine won't ghost at all, but if it does it will be interesting to see whether it is airballs that cause the movement in the inserts or if it is the passage of time. So far, the passage of time has not scored any points and has a four month head start over airballs. This is just my machine and may not represent the behaviour to be expected on any other.
My Playfield was made in June.. Give it 150 games. Let us know then
Quoted from Lordanubis:I got this one, the playfield is dated JUN 20, and the cabinet is dated June 29.
The signature is in red pen, is this the normal color?
Same date as my LE playfield, my LE was built 27 June
Let us know if it starts ghosting
Quoted from CaptainNeo:please, cracking in the shooter lane? Then you better sell all your machines because any game with clear on it, will crack in the shooter lane no matter what. TZ, TAF, CFTBL all of them crack in the shooter lanes. They all get ground in dirt and it's ware and tear. It's going to happen. What's the point on owning a car if it's just going to sit in the garage. If it bothers you 20 years from now, have the playfield restored. It will need it anyway, because inserts will shift and raise anyway.
Quoted from Bing_Party:strange that a new unit has rust on it like that..someone else posted rust on here too. And good for you on that game, mine did not hold up as well and are not as old
My TOTAN was in my garage for a couple of years
Quoted from pinghetto:I would say if you have a date stamp on the playfield like this picture you are just fine!!
My date was 9/8 and noI would say if you have a date stamp on the playfield like this picture you are just fine!!
My date was 9/8 and no date stamp.
Mine has a date stamp... and ghosting
Quoted from rooky79:My left flipper is sticking up too. I tried to recreate it and when it stuck up, I switched off the power and it stayed up so looks like mines mechanical and not electrical thank Christ. The flipper backstop (if that's what it's called) has wiggle in it and it should be solid so hoping it's that
Check inside your cabinet and see if there is "Gold dust" My ST flippers were sticking up and it was the flipper coil stops, good to see Stern has fixed them
