Played several games on it today, had most of the same experiences; pop ups send balls flying without registering, slimer works half the time, lots of fly-balls over the slings, cradling will take some practice etc etc

One other thing that stood out to me was some inconsistencies in the animations. The contrast between 2D animations and 3D renders that were flattened was pretty stark. One that stood out the most was the extra ball screen. A 3D slimer and Ecto-1 crash into each other resulting in a very 2D "goo splash" animation. They didn't mesh well. I don't want to get into you-know-who level of nitpicking art, or beat the already dead horse of "should have been an LCD" but thinking of the source material while watching an ape-like Rick Moranis character "run" across the screen left more to be desired. I know it's a minor part of the game but when everything else on the cabinet is so stunning it stood out like a sore, two-dimensional red thumb.

Having said that I look forward to pouring more money into it and getting familiar with the play.

On the subject of flippers, I've noticed on the machine I have played that the right flipper has a little give to it. And I think I saw the same thing in a DeadFlip stream. If I hold the right flipper up when the left scoop throws a ball at it, the force of the bal will move it by about a centimeter.

Not sure if this is a common thing with a newer model of flipper or coil, just giving my experience.

Found the vid. A couple of occurances at 11:08, 17:00 and 24:24. May be more.

How does everyone feel about the hit/light super jackpot at times outside of a multiball? I know GoT uses it in the Mystery shot, but it seems to pop up every now and then (I think on the newtons) on GB but feels kind of out of place. Is it a new norm for Stern's? Why not just call it something else? Am I missing something?

Quoted from pinchamp:

The dots on this game are the best I have seen - EVER.

I would say some are. The animations of ecto 1 are dynamic and fun, but the "who brought the dog" stuff is pretty lame (hunchback woody allen).

I have also mentioned before how much the 3D rendered dots and the 2D (i am assuming) hand drawn) animations clash. More specifically the "Extra ball" screen. There is a huge contrast between the two.
