Quick thoughts:

-The mag slings are an unqualified success. They work awesome, and very impressive. Constantly throwing the ball around. Would not want to see these "ghost" effects on every game but they work great.

-The entire package is very impressive. Very 2016 pinball.

-Ecto goggles are a cool "wow" toy. Basically mini pinball 2000.

-I put in my Hulk LE green DMD. Worked plug and play.

-I scanned the playfield for defects, none notice. It's passed my own personal QC so I'm not going to scan it with a microscope. It looked good to me.

Good idea on installing the Hulk le green dmd. I plan on doing the same thing.

Do you plan to install any mods?

Entitlement. 'MURKA!!!!!

From what was posted in another Ghostbusters thread, LEs have already started to arrive in the US and in some homes. They're all hitting at the same time.

Take it easy Hawk , your toy is on it's way... Seriously though let the bugs get worked out on the initial runs.

#19 6 years ago

Congrats Chris, looks like an awesome addition for you. Thanks for the video, the magna slings are definitely an interesting add think I the lighting on them is most impressive feature. In this small sample they don't seem to really affect game play all that much in fact they seems to give less action and more predictability then slings do which I was surprised to see. Have fun!!!!

Congrats. I'm not in on a GB but looks like fun. What are the major differences from the pro to the LE's?

#22 6 years ago

So it's awesome in every way!?

I'm so glad!

I picked up my LE on Friday. I've only had time to put maybe a dozen games on the machine. I've been too busy machining Congo protectors,

Have to say this though....I've never seen a machine before with so many serious air balls. I can see a lot of things getting broken on this pin.

I was getting crazy airballs off the Scoleri targets on the pro. Not sure how that problem could even be addressed, other that by lowering the flipper power. Where else were you getting airballs?

Trying to backhand the left ramp often results in some
Crazy air ball that dumps the ball onto the lower left plastic. They must have realized that because they actually put a post on top of that plastic to help cajole the ball back into play when it happens. I guess that was easier than just fixing the design, if a little less elegant and effective.

When i played the pro at different places the air balls were very bad off everything not just the drop target's .... the ball wld end up in the shooter lane and over the outlanes/flippers alot.

These $2 springs take care of the airballs from the Scoleri drops.

Snap latch lockdown bar even on the LEs? That's freaking so lame.

If I could convert every game I have to these I would. So many lockdown bars need adjustments, the latches work the correct way every single time. What is it that you do not like about them?

#38 6 years ago

I have come to like the snap more than the latch, just a better tighter fit

They are just a major pain to line up and get to.

#40 6 years ago

Congrats! Looking forward to trying this game out.

One thing I noticed in the video is the right ramp shot/return is a lot smoother than it looks in the photos.

#41 6 years ago

Congrats Frolic, your amazing collection just got better!

#42 6 years ago

Congrats! Awesome collection.
I was lucky enough to play the LE that was at SFGE and I couldn't agree more about the mag slings. They fit the game well. I can't wait for my premium. It will be our first live stream if all goes as planned. As soon as it's set up I plan to change the stock rubber to Titan silicone of course.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. I think we were ready to hate them on principal - "don't change this thing we are used to!!!" However, I have them on my Ironam VE, and I see no issue with them. They hold the bar down very tight, and it makes no difference to the player at all.

Did you even see the pics of his Gameroom, Bro?
When a collection has that many NIB bought LE's and probably bought from same distributer then when the first LE's ship, you get yours first.

Oh yeah, Congrats Frolic!

Just found a pinball role model. Nice collection and you avoided the Wrestlemania LE. Enjoyed the footage.

More details about installing the green dmd please.
What did you use , any conversion kits ?

Congratulations Chris! Another awesome game added to your beautiful collection! Glad to hear that you think the Magnaslings are an unqualified success. They certainly looked impressive on recent videos posted here.

The new lockdown latch is fine. Less complicated and easy to replace if it ever breaks.

The new on off switch is incredibly lame.

The green and red dmds use the same power and data connections, and fit in the same screw holes. The hulk had some additional metal hardware holding it, which are not used on Ghostbusters. I did add some screw holes to the green plastic screen that goes in front of the dmd, which hides the electronics and grids on the dmd. But otherwise it is a very simple conversion.

I was one of the complainers when I saw the feature matrix for GOT LE had the latch for the LE instead of lockdown, but the reality is the latches are better and more snug. So even if it was cut for costs, the end result is better.
