I would say that Stern has ALREADY shown that they don't care in the slightest. (It's been years...)
What gets me, is somehow Stern thinks this is a good move or is somehow saving them money. Crapping on your customers is a moronic buisness strategy for any company that wants repeat/loyal customers.

There have been 4 Stern releases since GB that I would have bought NIB that instead I completely passed on. While I don't know Stern's per game profit margin, nor their programmers rate, it just seems to me that the revenue loss just from me personally would have been enough to cover the cost of completing the GB code. But instead, their current strategy is to ignore thier promises/obligations while expecting me to pay to join some pointless fanboy army? Curently, as for future releases, I would be more likely to tattoo "DISCO LIVES" on my forehead, vote Socialist, or camp out for a week to buy a $1K Apple monitor stand... than to buy a Stern right now.
