Dwight recoded a lot of stuff this time around, so why not Who Brought the Dog? I’d wager it’s BY FAR the mode players have played the most of, and there’s nothing special about it either. What, 3 static shots? Make them roving shots at least! Isn’t it a dog CHASE after all?

If he HAD recoded the mode, I’m sure people would have said “cool”. Or at least I’m sure few people would complain. So what’s the big deal?

Looks like it could be from the TWIP podcast posted today? Zach references the Dead Flip live stream from last week while talking with Dwight. Good listen, more GB code discussion from Dwight.

Two things I'll be turning off with the update. 1. disabling allowing modes to be completed just by attempting them. 2. disabling the ghost shot from spotting mode shots. For a decent to good player I think leaving both of those options on will make the game too easy.

It's Pinside. There were 3 posts discussing an opinion on a subject. 3 posts arguing that the person shouldn't have that opinion. And 20 posts about how there are too many posts on the subject.

During ladder modes theres a way to light the ghost shot that when hit will spot a shot in a mode. I think this will make the game way easier then it is today, hopefully theres an adjustment to disable it.

We recorded the podcast on Sunday, when I said next week I meant this week; the week we are currently in. We are still aiming at releasing the code this week. I do not think it will happen tomorrow(Tuesday). Please stop banging your head against a wall.

Please try the game as designed at least for 20 or 30 games. I made the game much easier but there is also much more game added to the back end. If after 20 or 30 games you are beating ARE YOU A GOD? too often, or at all. Then think about making the game harder. Also, GB can be a beast. Now that its easier you will still have bad games. It will be more volatile. This is by design.

Lastly, if you want to make the game harder start with turning the number of ball saves down to 1. Also consider turning off the extra extra ball. Maybe.

After seeing the stream, it was totally worth the wait. Looks like you and the team took LOTS into consideration when applying changes. I’m dying to load this up, and I’m so glad I held out. Gb is a title that’s never leaving my collection provided finances allow.

Thanks again, and for putting up with all the ball busting. We had a lot of harsh words for you. Now, we can all relax and enjoy this masterpiece (to us GB fans)!

Good tips! I'm definitely going to try a good number of games with the new default settings and will then adjust from there if needed.

That is Dwight. Thanks Dwight. I have a few rabid GB fans that play my game on location and they are all very excited about this update. Kudos to you and the group who worked on it.

I was really digging your discussion on the TWIP podcast regarding the times events and specific modes. Such a cool idea. An expansion of what you guys did on the stream with the wizard mode the other night. I think it's super cool and would love to see more of that in games. It would do well for sure in the home environment, but could also be a lot of fun on location. This is expanding pinball in a very positive way. Rock on man, you are right, Zach is wrong!

Yes a 2 ball multi with slimer is needed, hitting slimer as it moves back and forth for jackpot. Kinda like trying to hit Dracula in monster bash.

That's one thing I wish the game had at this point, Slimer MB that is a relatively easy to achieve MB with progression based rules. Starts by hitting Slimer 25x or something. Make it a standalone mode about progressing through all slimer related scenes from the first film (he's not in the second one much). That would be a lot of fun.

Take the concept above further and grant a 2x playfield multiplier for starting Slimer MB after it's been played and only for the remaining ball. Beat Slimer MB and get a 3x playfield multipler for the rest of the ball. That would add a lot of strategy to the game by allowing a player to go for Slimer MB before starting another ladder or MB mode.

Does he still come out on occasion to slime the playfield? Even if he heads back immediately... It's fun to see him in action and I rather liked the parallel clean-up-the-slime gameplay.

we know it's coming and just a matter of waiting just a little while longer which compared to 32 months is nothing.

in the stream dwight stated he showed more than what he wanted so there will be other little polished items and maybe with the chatter of the wizard mode being made as a mini game maybe be worked on so worth the wait of a few weeks - would love this as a right button and start mini game only

as for the slimer multiball, it would be a nice one for the novices to aim for and maybe only one slimer MB per ball. Spell GHOST with five hits, slimer drops down and hit him once to start a 2-3 multiball and the goal is slimer is going up and down or side to side depending on model and have to hit him as many times as possible during the multiball for 500k per hit. Then it is a easy one for the kids and novices to go after and they feel they have achieved something and keeps them coming back.

1) Yeah what would be cool and a great feature is to program the right flipper plus start buttons to bring up a menu of mb’s that can be played. We came, We saw and Are you a god, might be easy wizard modes to use, as they start depending on number of ghosts collected. This feature would be like LITZ feature on TZ, but better. You’d have multiple wizard modes to play, and that’s a lotta Litzing.

2) As others have said - spell ghost, start a 2 ball Slimer where hits are jackpots.

3) The thing I care most about is that the light sequence for storage facility mode is authentic to the film. Is that too much to ask? Anyways, I’ll be looking for that on release day.

Amen! Please Dwight, make the Slimer toy mean something in the game. The mechanism should be put to use instead of hitting once to get out of the way.

I heard they are working on a new mode called, "Are you still a God?" and are starting to think about a successor called, "What about now?"

If I was Dwight I’d add a funny but well said Easter egg... during the attract mode trivia he could have one that says “did you know we rewrote the entire code and half of pinside still complained about our work before it was ever even released!”

This type of behavior by the way is why we can’t have nice things around here.

I've said several times that I'm happy for the code update and that it's an improvement, but I think it's fair to express some disappointment when things you expected to be included were not. It has been almost three years and they promised a huge update, so you can't blame people for having certain expectations.
