Ordered my GB Pro this morning. What are some must have mods I need to look for? I ordered a shaker, service rails, scoleri bros springs, and new pinballs from PBL. Haven't followed GB much so I don't know whats out there yet.

Quoted from Phbooms:New PBL balls werent necessary but now you can add 1 to the book stacking newton ball to keep the wire rail from bending as bad. Might want to look into the PBL kit that has plastic pieces to help fix the outlane jumping. Besides that you got it covered with the PBL springs and a shaker. Oh yeah buy a external subwoofer, game has alot of base
I sold my STTNG to pay for this one so I am still at just 2 pins. I have a sub under my Metallica so I believe they can share a single sub correct? PBL is sold out of the outlane plastic kits but I am going to keep watching for them. What is this about the wire rail bending?
Quoted from Kiwipinhead:Looking at other threads.... a spare playfield!
Yeah, reading about the insert ghosting issues has me concerned. This will be my 2nd NIB, the first being a Met Pro in April of 2015. I seem to have had none of the playfield chipping issues that others have seen so far, but I do have an issue with my head decals peeling. While it might be pocket change to some, I think spending 5k for a new pin comes with an expectation of quality. Doesn't seem like it's there with Stern right now and it makes me wonder if I want to wait.
Has anyone gotten an word when Pros will start shipping again? This week my distro told me that Stern plans to be all caught up on orders and be shipping before the end of the month. That seems really optimistic to me. Looks like LEs are trickling in this week but haven't heard anything on when Pros will start up again.
Just got notification that my GB Pro from Cointaker left Sunbury, PA tonight at 4:30pm. Hopefully I can pick it up in Syracuse tomorrow morning. A fellow collector in Buffalo had his GB Pro arrived today from a different distributor, so Pro machines are shipping again at the same time as the LEs.
Last night I got an email that my GB Pro had shipped. I checked the tracking and it said it was picked up in Sunbury PA (Cointaker) last night. At 7:20 this morning it updated that it was at destination in Syracuse. I called the shipping company and picked it up early this morning. The build date on it is July 9th.

Quoted from cubitron:I just received word that my GB Pro is off the line and ready to be shipped. Ring the bell because "we got one"! I told my Metallica machine I would still love it just as much. There is enough love for the both of 'em.
Quoted from frankmac:Congrats!!
Plenty of room for sure... Great combo!
Definitely enough love to go around for both machines!
My Playfield date is stamped June 14th, 2016. My Manufacture date is July 9th, 2016. I believe I have the new slimer mech and my game shipped with v1.05.
I am having an issue with the ball hitting Stay Puft when launched. I followed some advice and swapped the orange plunger spring with a green plunger spring. I was told that fixed the issue. I am still having the issue, in fact the ball will NEVER smoothly orbit if plunged at full strength. Sometimes it will hit and not follow through, other times it will follow through but not smoothly.
Any more suggestions?
Yeah that will be my next step. As soon as I mentioned it before I was told to change the spring. That fixed the issue for others but not for me. I will be looking at adjusting him next.
Looks like I may be leaving the club as fast as I joined it. I sold my STTNG to buy a GB Pro because my wife and kids never played it. They all loved the theme and were excited for GB. The wife told me last night that she absolutely hates the game because of the flipper gap, how much the ball jumps all over, and a the way the modes work. While I love the game myself, her concerns are valid and some of those issues aren't going to change.
Quoted from Concretehardt:Carrot flippers, air ball deflector over the left ramp & wait for the next code update.. Just a thought if you like the game.
I may try them out. I also have the PBL kit that has the center post. I installed just the side rail covers to stop the ball jumping the rails, but maybe I should give the center post a shot. All your ideas are good and I might try them, but honestly I am pretty easy to buy games for. I love pinball in general and i'll play anything I buy. If they really don't like it and wont play it then i'll find something they will.
We are going to a yearly party at another collector's house this weekend so she will get a chance to play a bunch of new pins including a TWD and a GB LE. Maybe she will find something new she likes or maybe something will click and she will start liking GB. We'll see.
This weekend I was given an Ecto 1A model kit as a gift to be used as a topper on my pro. I remember now why I haven't put together a model since I was 9 years old! It came out pretty good but those damn decals were a POS. I just need to figure out how to mount it now so it doesn't come crashing down when my shaker goes off.28241641974_d213bf0dea_o_(resized).jpg28827645326_1035236fa6_o_(resized).jpg28782909671_ac565a7d57_o_(resized).jpg28782911641_1d1b605c44_o_(resized).jpg28827646776_222d1d0e1e_o_(resized).jpg
Quoted from earblast:I bought that kit and then had second thoughts about putting a hole in a new game. Ended up just putting the green slime pcs in and called it a day.
I thought the piece you're trying to install would go under.
You don't put any holes in your game. The center post is attached to the plastic and is suspended from above.
Quoted from Aquapin:Center post made a world of difference for enjoyability with my kids and their friends on GB. They were getting killed by the center drains, super short / frustrating games. Now it is more balanced and getting significantly more play time with the kit installed.
My game was up for sale because my wife and kids didn't enjoy it. I had the PBLife kit but hadn't installed the center post. I moved the outlane posts forward and installed the center post, now Ghostbusters is no longer for sale. The wife is playing it again.
Quoted from Pinnutz:Finally got my Pro last week after the first one arrived damaged at the beginning of August. It has a play field date of July 21st. I didn't look at the game build date. It has the new Slimer mech as well as the fix for the bending rail on the captive ball. The first one also had wrap around side art but this one is separate stickers for the sides and the front. Played about 60 games so far and no play field problems. Everything worked great right out of the box. It's a tough game but I'm really liking it. More so than any other pin I've gotten in recent years. That's it just my 2 cents...
I didn't know they made one with the wrap around art. Mine was built the first week of July and it has separate pieces for the sides and front.
Skillshots are worth 10% of your total score. Easy to rack up huge skill shots if you are having a good game.
Quoted from TaylorVA:While Kevin is busy with craft projects I'm busy playing.
Where is the score that goes with those initials?
I have some Terror Dogs back in stock.

I also released a new mod today, the Ghostbusters PKE Meter. It's designed after the PKE Meter from the original Ghostbusters and made to mount somewhere around the PKE ramp. I have a batch ready to ship tomorrow morning.
