Quoted from Phatchit:Book stack done let’s see how it last . I’m totally happy with the results so far ![quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Wait till a ball takes it out...your gonna be doing some repair on that often. I hot glued the snot out of mine to make it not get wrecked, all over the outside of it. It made it look like Slimer left his juices all over them...
I know there were some guys looking for one...not too bad of a price considering....
Quoted from Utesichiban:Question for those here that have mods installed with alligator clips, etc on GB. I bought a small Ecto car mod (hot wheels car) a few weeks back that has flashing blue lights. It has alligator clips which are supposed to attach to any GI socket under the playfield so the led flashers are always on. I’ve talked with the guy that made the mod several times but for some reason, the lights aren’t coming on. I’ve tried rearranging the clips and have tried it on what I assume are the right GI sockets in two different locations.
I thought it was a wiring issue but it works when I tried attaching to a GI socket on both my Fishtales and Ironman. I’ve attached a few pictures of the car and sockets I’ve tried attaching it to in my GB. Any ideas what the issue may be? Is GB different somehow? It has to be something I’m missing or screwed up but any insight is appreciated.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
If your metal on metal...you should be good
Quoted from yzfguy:I was in touch about 5 months ago, said I would take one, and then never heard from him. Just as well, I'm considering trading my game now.
You just have to say on top of it a bit because he builds them almost to order. #worthit
Quoted from Jarbyjibbo:I have them as well. Pricey but very well engineered, manufactured, and supported by the designer. I was in the same bucket of not hearing back for a while initially but it was in the middle of the initial Covid stuff so I just bumped him on it once and he promptly replied.
Upon install, I had a resistor issue with one of the modules that he diagnosed and helped me work through. It's working 100% now and looks great.
Buy with confidence.
Me too, my issue was on the left side, dropped it to the 10 ohm resistor and it worked like a champ. Easy fix.
Awesome mod!
Quoted from Rager170:Those look nice. Do you hav Blacklight bulbs or something making em pop?
Who is selling them? Are they interactive? plug n play?
they have a control wire that you solder into the red out lane flasher. EX. when the ball comes out of the scoop, the right side flashes on and off. I have Pinstadiums tied into the game with the UV glow. It is over the top and a must add to get the lighting right on the playfield.
I posted the contact above for ordering interest.
Quoted from Navystan:Back in the club. I had a GB before and it was a nice one. But this one is far better. And, it has the "Holy Grail" of toppers... . My previous one was loaded with dimples, but this has almost none, under 200 games.

I don't see the lighted streams, that completes the look and it is interactive.
Quoted from Chosen_S:I’ve been dreading bringing this up for a while, And I’m sure I know what everyone’s opinion is going to be. But I thought I would throw this idea into the open and see what the consensus would be.
Regarding the flipper gap. As has been stated in the past that the design was not meant to have the wide typical flipper gap for the designers usual flow, and has been Typical practice by everyone here to add carrot flavors or the center post if the flipper gap bothered the machine owner.
I have been contemplating for the last couple of years on routing the flipper post holes to allow a semi permanent and reversible 1/8 inch re-positioning of the flipper mech bracket; to each left and right flipper. Of course this modification is to bring the flippers closer together to original desired design but still maintain the Integrity of the machine to allow for full reversal of the modification and to be able to put the mechs right back in the original place should it be desired to move later on.
I’m curious what everyone’s thoughts are on this idea if it where to be thought of as common practice for Ghostbusters if I attempted this modification to the playfield and if others followed suit.
Just loosen the tilt and shake it sideways...jeezz
Quoted from mrpilkington:Depending on what the finished design looks like that might be cool. Cointaker's ghost trap mod is $31.95 so thinking somewhere around that is fair.
I concur
Quoted from billsgto:Anyone know where I can get these speaker acrylics? Mezelmods is out of stock and I don't want to pay almost $50 (double the normal price) to get them from Germany. Thanks

I bought these and they look great, scroll down to the GB ones.
Quoted from wolffcub:omg! Well i just found my next mod!
Why not just get the ones that were designed to be in the game that Stern passed on. Color is hard to photograph, sorry.

Quoted from swinks:Stern's protons were mechs that moved so the el wire etc was not what Stern intended
Source?
Quoted from wolffcub:Dont get me wrong but proton streams are cool but them running around buildings does not see very proton streamy to me, Feels like it wants to be Tron. The ones that encapsulate the ghosts make more sense to me.
You can make them go anywhere, they are flexible...fyi
Quoted from wolffcub:How does the lcd in small dot mode look compared to the led display ? I’m undecided on what one to get. The only reason I would go with lcd is if the small dots look better than the normal size dots.
I personally have LED color DMDs in ALL of my games. I like the LOOK and FIT (especially), WAY better.
At first, every time I saw them at a show they would kill my eyes with the brightness set all the way up.
Once I found out you could dim them down, for me, it was a no brainer. GB looks awesome with a LED!
Quoted from freddy:Just finally found time to install Swinks Proton Gun mod.

Lightsabers in a Ghostbuster game...lame
Quoted from dpkzone:I finally picked up a GB pro in a trade a few weeks ago and just found this thread. Game is brutal and I love it. I need to read through the whole thread here but I have a few quick questions. Anyone still selling the library mod as I can't find it still available anywhere? I want to upgrade to a color DMD. I read the thread debating LED vs. LCD and think I am settled on the LCD. It appears I can change the size of the dots which is what swings me toward LCD. Anyone have a recommendation as to where to buy from? Thanks in advance!
I use only LED in all of my games. I did not used to like them because I would see them at shows and the brightness would be turned up so high that they burn your retina's. When I found out you could turn them down...no brainer, they look awesome. They fit just like the original DMD's, I can't stand the LCD's being over sized. Just my 2 cents...
Quoted from kool1:I just ordered this and a Stern rod from Pinball Life.
https://www.shapeways.com/product/U59WLKVU4/shooter-rod-knob-gb-coloured
Should be similar if not better!
That shooter rod knob looks way better than Sterns
Quoted from Pinkitten:If anyone simply must have the original Stern marshmallow shooter, who am I to stop you from achieving your dreams?
PM me.
Sounds like the bend over price...lol
