Quoted from Teo76:....order for L.e. Number 161....
How do people already know what # they have? I haven't heard a thing on mine.
Quoted from kermit24:LE. Arriving in 2-3 weeks. Can't wait!
I haven't heard a thing on my LE
Quoted from RichieWrench:They are asking me now to pay for the LE this week -- End of the week. I have serial number 005 - So I am thinking that it is getting closer -- So it looks like early May is the date.
That's great to hear. I paid in full the moment I received my invoice.
Here's to hoping I hear from my distributor that my LE has shipped soon.
Quoted from erak:Made this mod for my buddy today. I got lucky and found it at a local thrift store. 1:43 scale 2011 hotwheels ecto 1. I added a Purple led inside the back. And made the headlights light up. And the siren lights flash on when you hit the spinner.
That looks much netter that the 1:64 scale versions
Quoted from jar155:I may recreate that part with a much harder steel. If people are interested, I could do a run. I'm assuming it's aluminum now, right?
I highly doubt it's aluminum.
Probably cold roll steel.
Is it just me...or do other feel the same way....I wish Stern would use traditional, Williams style star posts, instead of the thin, featureless post they've been using for what seems like forever???
Quoted from kermit24:Thoughts on the accessories? Looks like they changed the topper from the earlier prototype a bit?
It looks better than the 1st one I saw. It still looks like the LAH topper to me.
It goes well w/ the pro/premium artwork...but not at all w/ the LE artwork.
Quoted from shacklersrevenge:I find the right ramp a challenging shot, but not impossible. Feels good to hit. I think combined with everything else it's just another hard thing in the game which is wearing thin with some people.
I do question the longevity of that ramp, because it's plastic to the right side of it with no real protection, I think this will start cracking with bricked shots after some time.
I wonder if Cliffy is working on ramp protectors for GB.
That's one of things I liked about the LE....It has the metal ramp.
Quoted from Fortytwo:I just noticed the center post bracket is made from acrylic!!!! Do some research and use polycarbonate. Acrylic is brittle in comparison. When I home make one I use poly, they use it in industry fo machine guards, bullet proof, and cold form it. I would have a hard time paying for special peices made out of acrylic.
Sorry for the rant but just floored about material choice.
Fortytwo
I agree...
Ploycarbonate would be the way to go.
Quoted from Flato:So i just got my replacement carton from stern a few days ago, its just a big box with some Styrofoam, Does anyone have any tips to take my playfield and and put it in the box, i have never removed a playfied before and stern gave zero insturctions,
Thanks,
Lean the playfield up then disconnect 3 connectors...a big white one, a smaller white one, (3 pin, I think), then the black ethernet style connector. Highly suggest getting an extra person to help lift the playfield out of the cabinet.
I've only played my GBLE maybe 100 times...that was 3 years ago. I haven't played it since the summer of 2017.
With the new code update, I've decided to keep the machine, rather than sell it.
My machine is completely stock. What "tweaks" do I need to make? What mods are needed?
I really don't want to have to take the time to read this entire post to get up to speed. Can any of you GB "veterans" help out?
I appreciate any help you guys can provide.
People might have a hard time believing this....
I ordered my NIB GBLE in March. 2016. I received the machine on July 1, 2016. When I got the machine, I quickly put on about 50 games, then noticed that I had the ghosting insert issue. I fought with Stern for over a year about getting a populated playfield. They told me to play it some more, if the ghosting got worse, I'll get a new playfield.
I installed the new playfield in Oct. 2017...and to this day, it's has never been played.
I seriously considered selling the machine, but, now I think I might keep it for a little while.
The reason for my post?.....I haven't kept up to date on this title. What would everyone recoomend as far as mods/protection for this game?
Quoted from sepins:Wow!!! Thought ad for $15K loaded for GBLE was nuts.
Sold in a couple of days!
I guess I should list my GBLE for sale soon. Replacement playfield installed in Oct. 2017. It hasn't had a single ball played on it.
