Hey you lucky GB pinside owners...I am considering picking up a Ghostbusters Premium, but may hold...this would be my first pin...(actually my parents had one when I was a kid (Black Belt), kind of a crappy game and was never serviced/maintained.)

Question - anyone have any insight / thoughts or confirmation on when to buy before Stern stops producing these? If I hold on buying until sometime next year, I'd rather not be in a similar situation that seems to have happened to Star Trek (no longer produced etc and those that are NIB are going up in price). Right now a dealer near me is selling for $7,099 list for the GB Premium and thinking that's not too bad.

I have heard from word of mouth, that these newer Stern pins are likely to get reproduced as demand dictates, but I'm not sure if that's just speculation

If anyone have some insight, any information appreciated. Cheers & Thanks!

Hey all, this may not be a Ghostbusters premium question, but perhaps a general pinplaying..but how the freak are people hitting the right side ramp and right bucket?

I'm getting more familiar with the rules, and I get alot of 'who brought the dog' as the first shot I must make to get things going...but I suck...haha...was looking to see if someone has a good video on playing the premium to get alot of points and general hitting shot tips....most vids out there on YT are for the Pro.

Love the game though, hell of a 1st pin purchase for me.

There was another thread at one point where this was work was done/shared (https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/ghostbusters-pro-custom-code-v113/page/7)

I really like this, makes all the difference. I believe The Who Brought the Dog, on this one is the original Stern music. It's annoying because it happens ALL the time for most players.

You can rebuild / tweak the audio via a utility, but I never got around to it.

But I was curious, now that colorDMD is out, if there is an update. Because I believe you have to update the code to run the color DMD. Going to zombie post in that thread too.

Quoted from gweempose:

Where can I find the latest sound mixes? I have one that I put on my premium a while back that's a big improvement over the stock music, but there are a few things about it I'm not thrilled with. In particular, I don't like the music used for "Who Brought the Dog?" It starts out strong but then gets very slow and doesn't fit the game very well. I'm also not a fan of the music used during "Spooked Librarian". What I do love is the Bobby Brown music during "We've Got One" and the "Spook Central" music taken directly from the movie. I also love the shooter groove music from the movie. Is there a newer version that still has the stuff I love in it but has the other stuff either original or changed for the better?

Does anyone know if there's a way to change game play for ball drains so that another ball is auto plunged instead of drained? Maybe a game/config setting? Trying to setup to make it easier for some visiting family / kids. Was thinking of adding some sort of bumper on the drains but would rather not 'mod' the game/playfield.

Any info appreciated

Quoted from JodyG:

What about blocking the outlanes all together? I could draw up a clip-on 3D printed piece that would snap over the inside wireforms on the outlanes and then make it so the ball can't drain on the outlanes. No permanent damage to the machine, and they would snap on and off easily. An even more quick and dirty fix would be to zip tie between the wire form and the adjustable outlane post.

Yeah that would be cool, I don't have a 3D printer personally but may be interested in buying something someone may have already designed...I like the idea of trying a zip tie, I may give that a shot. I guess nothing's available in the code today (i.e. super easy mode, lol).

hahaha....yeah I have some kids and grandparents playing, so they could use the 'easy mode'...totally bumper bowling.

I guess I could also adjust the outlane posts from factory setting(middle)

you guys are doggin'...hahahaha...but it's true, not everyone's a pin-head...and I like for them to be able to 'blow up' the game and get a multi-ball sometime
