Quoted from gweempose:Even though I wouldn't buy one, I do think the GB topper is the best one Stern has done to date. The one for KISS is pretty darn cool as well.
Really? I think it looks like it was made out of Tupperware.

I know one thing, whoever put that little plastic on the right right side that is riveted on right above the outlane post is a sadist. Hope I only ever have to move that thing once. Realistically if you want to move that outlane post you have to take out the subway ramp. I lived dangerously and just loosened stuff up but I thought I was going to break something getting it out of there.
What do those inserts represent by the way? I notice that sometimes they are lit and sometimes not. They always flash when the slings 'fire' but they are lit solid on occasion.
Quoted from chuckcasey:I slowly backed the right lane post up after taking the under playfield nut off by lightly tapping on it with a small rubber hammer. Ever so gently bent the plastics above and managed to get the post out and moved down to the lowest spot. The funny thing is.... doesn't seem to help with the drains directly but it does if you use a nudge. It was worth it.
I agree. I never close up outlines on a game, if anything I usually open them to make it harder. However in order to me from setting this pin on fire after every other game I closed these up.
Quoted from imagamejunky:Ok, so I feel like a cheater...
I now have moved the outlane posts from the center holes to the bottom holes. I needed to try something to help me to have more fun playing this pin. It's turned into a real love/hate relationship! No other pin has ever made me this angry. I frequently want to punch the glass! Yet I want to keep playing it. It's addicting!
The center drains are BRUTAL, the outlane drains are almost as bad, the scoleri brothers are pure evil, and the magna-slings are possesed. Anyone out there on the fence about buying this pin should get some blood pressure meds ready cause you're going to need them!
Oh and by the way, the right post wasn't difficult to move. You just need to remove the nuts and the screws holding down the Rick Moranis plastic. And then you can just rotate that plastic and get to the post.

I moved mine down too. I usually set my games up very hard but this pin just felt like it was cheating you the entire time. After making a few tweaks here and there and also leaning the geometry better it is growing on me. I was ready to set it on fire after a couple of days though.
