Quoted from Oshara:

Has anyone else had luck with this and/or have pics of the brace that Scary mentions? Had a look under the PF tonight and didn't see any adjustable base, unless it's under the plastics . . ?

It's not under the PF. The screw is under the library plastic behind the library scoop near the captive ball assembly.

So everybody with these machines should contact Stern and get the kit for preventative measures.....not just if they are having a problem?

Yes, the idea is to put the kits on to prevent your game from having trouble.

That’s insane lol. How long did that game last, about 3 hours?

#4258 1 year ago

I’d say under an hour maybe 45 minutes

#4259 1 year ago

Just a FYI for you guys that have a left scoop that shoots the ball SDTM. I just cut a small piece of ball dead drop foam (any kind of foam should work probably) and I stuck it on the left side of my scoop. Now when the ball comes shooting out of the scoop it goes over to the right flipper every time. It’s a very easy fix and the game works as it’s designed now. Before this I had my scoop eject turned down real low so it would barely spit the ball out and dribble it down to my left flipper. Not a big deal but just another tweak that makes this game a little more fun.

That is a sweet mod for sure. What other mods have you done to the game? I need to do some modding on mine, GB is the perfect game to mod out.

Shaker motor is a big plus. I've also done the library and the fire house mods. I'll send pics tomorrow.

Here mine. Shaker motor is a must..

Wow, that's like LOTR kind of ball times! Very impressive! Do you have the center post mod or anything else that would make the game easier?

#4266 1 year ago

Has anyone updated the code with movie songs/music? I was messing with pinball browser tonight and it turned out awesome.

I added ‘On Our Own’ for the high score, ‘Magic’ for Containment Multiball, and the original songs for ‘Cleaning Up the Town’ and ‘Saving the Day.’

Can you make a video of how these interact with the game?

No the only change I made was swapping out Stern stock clippers with carrot flippers (which has really helped )

Still tweaking. When I’m done, I’ll upload something. Downloading more original music now.

By the way guys I got the ball dead drop foam at Pinbits.com in case anyone is interested. It’s just foam with one side of it being sticky and it’s purpose is for balls to stay in games that the ball has a problem sticking in kick out saucers and scoops etc. the reason I bought it is because I have a sample model Jack Bot and the ball doesn’t want to stick in the eye saucers very well sometimes. This ball dead drop foam fixed that problem. Put a piece above the hole underneath the visor and the ball sticks in there like glue now! As promised, here are some pics of the mods/addons I have done to my Ghostbusters Pro. I also added some Cliffy protectors in a few spots and game blades on the sides.

Game looks great bicyclenut! You got some really nice mods on there. I need to start modding mine out also. Zach from SDTM has his GB game looking really good also, not sure if he has posted any pics of it in here or not but it looks great. He is really good at modding games.

I’m surprised there isn’t custom code already floating around.

I still need to add more music and clean up a few things. I’ll make the code available when it’s ready.

Has anyone tried the Pinstadium kit on Ghostbusters? How does it look?

I don’t have this game but I’ve seen Scott’s with pinstadium on it multiple times. Looks great.

In case I missed it, are you running a pro or premium?

+ 1 for an LE

Quoted from Chosen_S:

Pro. Once the songs and volumes are set, though, it isn’t too hard to do both versions.

I’ve done BDK, Kiss, Mustang, and ACDC, so GB to me is another must-do. Stern actually did a pretty good job, but there are a few songs that could go back to the original soundtrack.

I don't own a GB. I played on location for the first time last night. But was wanting to get some feedback from owners.

Never seen a silver ball fly so much on a single-level PF on such ordinary shots. Twice I sent a ball flying back the other way for a horrible airball drain. One time it went to the inlane and hopped over the separator from the outlane, drain. Then another one hit the left ramp post (I think, this happened fast) and flew over the wireform across the center PF, over the inlane and flipper and straight to the drain. At least this one let me shoot again. The flippers were strong, maybe too strong?

I also had the machine reboot while the ball was bouncing around in the jet bumpers, as if I had slamtilted. Now the table feels really light and wound up slide-saving a ball from the left outlane and got a tilt warning a few seconds earlier. Not sure if that had to do with something. I was just trying to nudge a bit when the legs moved with little resistance. But the table was stationary and the ball was in the jets when this happened. This was on a first ball so I lost my game and was actually starting to groove a little after some frustrating early drains.

I really want to like this thing. I can see how with some mods it can be a really good one. That right ramp looks really cool, is a fairly challenging shot, and my highlight of last night was hitting a perfect backhand through it. It also looks a lot better IRL than in pics. But overall my GB experience was underwhelming. At $1 a play I went through $7 in the space of 30 minutes. To be fair, it was my first live flip in at least a year, and I'm rusty. I lost a couple getting my bearings back, but after the first game maybe three or four balls were what I'd call my fault.

I'm thinking of getting some BriteButtons for my GB, but I'm torn between green and purple.

Has anyone put these on their GB? If so what color did you choose? (I did see 1 picture with them in the image gallery, but couldn't make out what color they were)

I do! I have a gb premium and went with purple/uv color for the buttons to match the cab. I can take a pic when i get home

To be honest as an owner you have to do some adjustment but then it just plays great. I have airballs only in a few occasions. No hopping drains, no sdtm, only a lot of fun. I agree the linear code is somewhat frustrating but sometimes you have this great game. That is what you do it for. I do not think any operator will go to the level of adjustments a home owner would.

How do you not have any sdtm? I certainly do.

Most stdm happened direct from the top left exit of slimer target. It toke me a lot of leveling the machine to get it right. And a center post helps a lot

Just FYI, I have the pcb led kit from ct as my flipper button leds for all my games. More expensive but easy to install and have a nice even light
