This is the readme on the Premium model.

LE/PREMIUM V1.10 - October 6, 2016

New:
- Added a new video mode called Don't Cross the Streams. You now may choose
between "Negative Reinforcement" or "Don't Cross the Streams".
- Added Scare Feature adjustment
- Added TIME OUT MODES Adjustment; When a mode times out it will not require
the player to restart it. It will not relight modes.
- Added MODE CONTINUE Adjustment; If you drain while a mode is running
it will continue on the next ball.

Fixes:
- Loopin Supers was making the wrong speech call if you had 3X
Super lit before you started it. All Loopin Super awards
are 1X Super Jackpots.
- Eddy Murphy was spelled incorrectly.
- Ad-Libbed was spelled incorrectly.
- Shaker Motor Adjustment was not turning the shaker motor off when required.
- When you complete all nine modes the modes will all unlight now so you can
play them all again.

Tweaks:
- Changed the sound of a couple timer sounds
- Tweaked instant info
- Changed GHOST letters to always reset to one shot away before bringing out
Slimer on MEDIUM or EASY. Changed HARD to be less hard.
- All multiballs now light Add-a-ball at their start.
- Changed Skill shot for top lane P from +5X to +3X
- Changed dozens of speech calls to be a bit brighter.
- Tweaked the colors of modes and features
- Severely reduced how much the Gozer the Gozerian mode increases the Super
Jackpot Value
- Made Slimer less sensitive when he first begins to decend.
- Increased the max ball save time from 15 seconds to 60 seconds
- Delayed Ball Search at end of modes when needed.

Big fix!
So now you can timeout through the ladder? Any change to the wizard mode rewards at the end of the ladder? So that you get less if you don't complete on the way? Or am I reading this all wrong?

Sounds like just a quick bail out fix for those whining about needing to play better.

Well, I think it's a valid fix, but it has to be complete with a change in the ultimate payoff. Agree that it's sort of not right if it just reaches the end goal timing out. Sort of hollow victory.

Add the centre post, longer flippers, out lane extenders, add the time out mode adjustment and change slimer to easy ... see every mode in one play through! Sounds like a ton of fun ...

It's a fantastic fix for those who don't want to see the same modes 5 times per game. "Play better" is irrelevant. The game will always be physically hard. It just won't be repetitive now !!!

The physicality of the game hasn't changed. It will still be a challenge. If you don't like it, change it in the options.

Hmm, well I suppose with games like tz or taf, you dont have to actually complete the mode to go to the next.. I kind of like that its hard so probably wont use it but guys have been asking.. I may consider using the continue mode on the next ball feature though.

It will be perfect if it plays out a bit like Tron. it's not about punishing the guy who can't get there it's about rewarding the guy who can get there

I'm waiting for my game. I built a custom topper but want to mount it to the wall because of weight etc. my game is coming soon but I want to get this done before.
Can someone measure the tallest point in their game and also how much adjustment on the legs left to go up?

In the meantime, the game will feel more balanced in terms of its content vs. it's difficulty. You need to get thru the mode ladders to get to the different wizard modes, right? So - wizard modes are the reward.

It's like a cheat code that gets you to the end.. 'hollow victory' is right.

And really.. if you find yourself stuck on who brought the dog as the common jeer was... you suck. It's THREE shots.. two of which are the easiest in the game. The biggest difficulty is qualifying mode start. But that too can be played around.

I have friends that hated stern's because they were 'shoot everything' games... instead of a jackpot.. everything is a jackpot! etc rules. Now we just continue that trend... of reducing the skill.

I am disappointed these are the defaults.

The new code is awesome!!

I crossed the streams.

The mode continuation makes the game so much more fun, and I was already loving my premium: buying it chocolates and taking it for romantic walks on the beach at sunset and shit.

Wrong. There are 100's of mode based games in existence that people aren't bored of...NONE of them have ever had rules like GB that forced replay and forced completion...people love those games. Now people will love GB....and if you DON'T, these are OPTIONS! Change it back to the shitty version if that's what you prefer!!!

Judge people all you want...but the bottom line is - this is a PHYSICALLY DIFFICULT GAME! Yes it's 3 shots but if you go through all the bullshit to start a mode and then drain after making 1 or 2 shots, you gotta go thru all the bullshit again, and you're on the same mode. The rules of this game are still the same. The repetition of content factor has been reduced. It's still physically the same game. Challenge is still there....the problem was REPETITION. You start Who Brought the Dog, and because the physical design is hard as balls, you drain...then you had to hit ghost, hit Slimer a bunch, hit the mode again and RESTART Who Brought the Dog. That was annoying as fuck! This update has two solutions to that, and you can use them both or use one or the other. Now if you start Who Brought the Dog and drain, the mode will keep going and you can finish it! ...and if you "suck" and don't finish it, you can see a new mode if you're good enough to start a new one!

You're only on that mode again if you start that ladder. Two, no other game requires completion and re-qualifying? Guess you've not played High Roller Casino? and we go keep going on and on with other games that force you to re-qualify or force you to get completion to get credit.

You could have started any other ladder if you didn't want to play dog again. Two, you drained, you had the very suggested path of using the skill shot to restart the mode again, or any of the ladders of your choice.. not just slimer.

If shooting a two+ inch wide orbit is too hard for you to start the mode... then practice more.

Having to qualify the mode start is not some new, cruel rule.. and GB gives you a single shot path to not only qualify, but start the mode too AND gives you the ability to complete and start a mode in the same shot. The qualifying is for those that MISSED.

My 2 cents. For me I'm no wizard, in fact don't know if I ever got to a wizard mode. But I could play the location pro enough to get past who brought the dog consistantly. So no need for the adjustments. But I will turn it on. The reason is for the 80 percent of non pinhead friends that come over.
So yes feels like cheating but will help others appreciate the code and work into it.

With the back legs set for a 7.1 pitch the back of the bb is 75 3/4 inches tall.

I've crashed it. Hit scoop when lit for video as the skillshot, hit right flipper before your menu choice of which mode you want comes up, it jumps straight to ESP and hangs here...

The update is buggy. Stuff I've seen so far:

- Certain awards collected by pops not being awarded
- Some skill shot awards not being awarded (video mode and Tobin's) if a mode is lit despite the DMD saying it will be
- Ball saver light comes on at random/wrong times
- E rollover light in P-K-E flickers throughout the game randomly
- Right orbit isn't always progressing mode on a made shot, but it's registering the shot (switch is fine)
- Apparently it crashes in video modes (I haven't seen it firsthand)
- Wrong insert colors on The Ballroom
- Timing is sometimes off on kickout sounds from scoops

Testing on this had to have been minimal.

The video mode pays 59,925,000 if you win it. I think it's close to free points. I am beating it four times in five doing the following... Use the stream that is farthest from your target. The streams catch the ghost then drag back towards their side of origin, and catch all the ghosts that appear on the way. If a ghost appears on the left, shoot it with the right stream. All the ghosts that then appear between the target ghost and your stream origin (which is now likely most of them as you have targetted the ghost farthest away on the other side of the screen) get caught automatically as your stream drags its way back to the side you're shooting from. Now, because the OTHER stream is only hitting ghosts a short distance from it, it catches and resets quickly, so you can use it again while the long one is doing its vacuum cleaner act. Some times it goes a little awry, but I've been working on this all evening and it just works time after time. As that first stream is making its way back, use the other as needs be. Just remember, at any time, use the farthest away proton pack that you can. It takes 15 captures to win and you can usually do it with just three, maybe four hits.

I picked up a "used" pro yesterday , when i got home it only had 50 plays on it!!
This game is so much fun, and it was cool of Stern to release the new code for me.

Stern gives us options to play our game how WE want - and that is wonderful. I am thrilled.

I think it's healthy to debate which "way" is better but to complain about Stern for making their game more flexible is somewhat childish. It's like winning the lottery and the FIRST thing that comes out of your mouth is "Great... millions in taxes to pay..."

If you hate a mode or option - don't use it. Kind of like how I think most of the "mods" that people do to their games are tacky. I don't install them. To each their own and PLAY ON! But complaining like a child about Stern's efforts to make a game more flexible really smacks of ungreatfullness and makes the community look bad to a casual observer.

Just my opinion... whatever.

Paul, I believe there are setting in Utilities for relative volume control. I know you can adjust the headphone volume, bass and treble, etc in there.

That happens on my pro too. Sometimes the GHOST target doesn't register either. It's a rare thing, but does happen. The switches and wiring are fine. I wonder if the switches are closing and opening so fast that the game misses it?

Those of you that replicated the exact issue. Have you submitted to stern? In the code update readme it specifically asks for feedback through a few methods none of whitch were Pinside.
I want them to fix it too, please help them.
