Is that the only thing that looks odd?

#8102 4 years ago
Quoted from freddy:

Could it be an adjustment ?

Not that I am aware of. What are the contrast and brightness settings? Also, did you pick the correct machine type when selecting for the colordmd setup initially?

There is a setting for which "mode"/"type" of panel. there are two settings: RGB or GRB (I think it's GRB). At any rate, it's a different sequence of RGB. Try changing that and see if that fixes it.

There is also a setting for machine type, Sam, Spike.... I originally entered the wrong system and it made my display do weird things. Once I switched to the correct one, it fixed everything.

Interesting. Is that on the LCD version? All I have are the LED versions and that isn't a setting on any of them.

Yes, LCD.

Perhaps it has to do with the different settings that you can use on the lcd version, like Hi resolution, scan lines...

Quoted from Rager170:

I love that feature, but man, they really need a volume control for it. I had to turn it off also because its just too loud.

Just don't try to turn the machine off when the scream starts. It will leave your volume setting at maximum when you turn the machine back on. Learned that one the hard way.

Oh wow hahaha. That is interesting and something I would not want to find out the hard way! lol

#8110 4 years ago

The scream feature is awesome - especially when you have guests! It used to be that you could cancel the scream if you hit both flipper buttons at the same time right before it started. Didn't seem to work anymore in the latest SW.

#8111 4 years ago

I thought the scream was kind of funny the first 3 or 4 times it happened. Now, it’s like nails on a chalkboard. That thing is set to “off” on mine permanently.

#8113 4 years ago

If you could take a quick pic of blue slimer

Quoted from freddy:

Do you have the LCD or LED ColorDMD?

#8115 4 years ago

Slimer is blue and the Twinkie is pink.
Iam to slow with the phone camera to catch the pink Twinkie lol

If your twinky is pink then you need to change the rgb/brg setting. Make sure you save it.

It was RBG but an adjustment within its spectrum and yes save it! Thanks for the help and direction .

I was doing some work with the ramp assembly and putting on cliffys, etc. I thought I kept everything in order. Can someone tell me if I'm missing a spacer or something at the top of that right post of the storage facility scoop? What makes me think I'm missing something is that angle of the stainless metal bracket that spans both sides.

Unfortunately the manual does not go into the detail required for this question.

I have GB pro

Thanks

I have a bunch of parts from a LE playfield if anyone is looking for anything.
Have most of the 3d sculptures like the library if a pro owner is looking to upgrade.

Or is my order of operations on the post left of the scoop off?

Does anyone have a fix for my issue where when hitting the PKE ramp, the ball comes down the wireform, hits the playfield and spins out to the left drain? Happens so often its a problem.

Quoted from Rager170:

Seems like I bent the ramp ever so slightly so that when the ball drops it will spin back toward the in lane.

I think I tried different angles until I found something that worked.

Crazy how that fing ball will jump into the out lane from that ramp...

Yes, the nut on the left sling.

It seems like if the ball drops and has a chance to catch the rubber in that area it will kick off to the out lane. You could check for this as well.

I bent the ramp in the direction to keep the ball from hitting this and letting it drop cleanly on the PF without touching the sling rubber.

Your case could be different but I tested it a bunch with the glass off and finally found something that worked. Worst case it will spin into the second in lane instead of going all the way out.

Good luck!

Oh ok, I see what you are saying. Thanks for the suggestions. I need to do something, its killing any chance of a good score it seems.

I was thinking of rigging something to the wireform itself to essentially slow the ball, or stop its spin so it goes down straight.

Finally joined the club last weekend with a premium. This pin is awesome. I saw some pics of flipper toppers with the Ghostbusters logo and Ghostbusters spelled out on them, but I can’t find them for sale anywhere. Anybody know where I can buy them? Thanks.

Mezel Mods used to have those. I don't see them now, just these:

https://mezelmods.com/collections/ghostbusters-pinball-mods/products/ghost-trap-flipper-bat

May want to email them and see if they still have the ones you're looking for.

You can see the ones you're talking about in the Ghostbusters picture on the trough kit page:

Well I picked up a minty Ghostbusters pro ! It’s been on my want list for sometime . I’ve sold a few over the years but never had one in my personal collection . It had a shaker , color dmd and art blades . I’ve already bought the green and pink balls for the capture lock, Walter peck toy for the containment unit , a 3D libaray /plastic from an Le, slimmer cover , drain buster lane guards and some other things . If there is something else that seems worth it let me know . Anyway was sitting here at the house and thought that the mode inserts could use a little color ,so I got some packaging tape and washable markers . I removed the light boards and cut the tape to the length of the insert and just taped it down . Then I used the color I thought would look close and colored the tape. Took me all of 10 mins and I think the result isn’t to bad for the cost of some tape and 3 markers ( which I had anyway) . Best thing is just pull the tape and no biggy . I have to say I really love this game , totally worth it to own !

That Storage Facility sculpt is the one to get. It looks great.

Those white LEDs are very hard on color. I'd be interested to know how the markers hold up.

Keep and eye and see how long it last

Color DMD installed.

This is some more things I’ve added . Green and pick glo balls , a liner and spotlight slime covers , 3D library plastic from Le and I ordered these doll house books for the library stack . The trick is cutting down about 5/6 pages on the books so the stack doesn’t lean forward . All most done with glueing them together then I will add it right i I’ve the newton ball mech for the library target . Might make a few more sets if anyone is interested .

Wait till a ball takes it out...your gonna be doing some repair on that often. I hot glued the snot out of mine to make it not get wrecked, all over the outside of it. It made it look like Slimer left his juices all over them...

#8150 3 years ago

I was thinking of finding a glow in the dark or green glue stick to do just that because I figured it was going to get knocked I had to add it to see how it looked until I do a little modding to make it just right . Going to play with a few ideas and see which one is best . I still have a few more things I want to add but it’s almost complete . I Love This game !!!
It is one of my favorite themes of all time. I just waited until the code was there to buy it .
