Quoted from oradke:

Actually, that's exactly what AdPin allows you to do as well. You can oben the flipper fingers from above and either swapr them out or just adjust the angle without having to lift your playfield. See video #1 here:
http://www.adpin.de/english/product-videos/
I have them in my GBpro and I really love them! Make sit super easy to fiddle around with the angles until you get it just right.
Oliver

Does the job but I think he needs to make a flipper cap/topper to cover the exposed screws. He could use the screw head holes as the snap on fixing point of the cover

Anyone finish the god mode? Not that I want to know what happens, but was it fun and challenging? I've only got to stage two at best

yep got to the start of stage 2 as well just once and lost the ball before the first shot

Must be an Aussie thing as I stuffed up exactly the same way

#7506 4 years ago
Quoted from toddsolus:

I switched back from the longer flippers...It made the game actually harder because the shot geometry was off that much.....play the game enough and you can sense when the middle drops are going to sink....slight nudge is al it takes.

+1 i made the same experience

Someone asked for the slime for the spotlights, and I caught a glimpse of the standard spotlight slime mod at Cidercade. I just did a more detailed sculpt. Here is a picture of the other new slimer bash assembly with bubbles.

The new bash assembly will be here tomorrow or thurs so I will post them for sale when I see they fit properly.

Anyway the spotlight prototypes are ordered and I'll post the link for those once I know they fit. Some people said they don't like the bubbles so I did one with and without. You can choose now

I'm in the Ghostbusters club. I don't own my own mod business and don't want to. These are mods I did for myself and decided to share them with others. I can only make mods for games I own which hasn't been many. I'm merely posting progress of mods I'm making for myself, and if people want they can order them for their game. I'm merely a hobbyist posting progress. Until last month I didn't even put a markup on these, but I put a $1-$2 on these so I can build a little store credit with shapeways so I can keep ordering prototypes without spending money out of pocket. I'm not someone trying to take advantage of the community, the money doesn't go to me. The mods I designed are more detailed, better quality, and quite frankly more fun.

I have every right to look at the mods available and think that they aren't worth the price or quality, in fact people are out there paying $30+ on mods that are $3 in material and someone usually didn't spend too much time designing them. There are plenty that are quite impressive. But the ones I am designing are meant to replace sub par designs and materials that some people are proud of.

Sometimes people pm me and ask "hey can you make this? or that?" I do 3d modeling for a living, and sometimes it's fun practice for me. A lot of people have been supportive and encouraging, but I've gotten a lot of people complaining due to simple loyalty to other mod companies...fine. But if I'm just offering better mods at better prices I don't understand how it's a problem.

Joined the club yesterday with a NIB Pro from Cointaker born May 2018. The new code download was seamless and game shoots great. No ball hop at the targets. Color DMD gets installed tonight!
Question: I believe there is a quick way to access WCWS mini game from the menu? If so, where?

#7511 4 years ago

Speaking of colorDMD...they have been radio silent...any word on the game update?

They are probably waiting to see if there will be another update before finalizing.

Hopefully they are working on it and can just add any changes later.

I just compared their (colorDMD's) release dates to Stern's release dates. It looks like it's pretty common to see a 4 month gap between the two.

Dumb question I’m Sure but, what is involved in changing out the existing flipper bats for carrot bats? Do you simply pull off and replace?

One allen wrench needed and loosen 2 screws. Line up and tighten. One of the easiest things to do on a pin.

Hey folks. Been busy over here but I kept having people ask if I can make a slimer bash assembly that resembles the slimer speaker mod. So here this is, one with bubbles and one without.
This is the 3d prototype, this was airbrushed so it's not the same green that comes from shapeways. I'll have pictures of the spotlight slime this week. And since my camera phone is crap I gave a set of these to Chaz to review and take pictures so hopefully that will help.

And if not done correctly can cause wear on the playfield. Make sure the is a small amount of play between the flipper and bushing to avoid the bat rubbing on the playfield or binding

totally agree with embryon - this is very important and I typically place 1 - 2 credit card/s on the playfield and then rest the underside of the flipper bat on to the credit card/s and this sets a consistent gap between the flipper bat and the playfield.

and take note of the flipper angle before removing the current ones - cut a thin cardboard template just in case... and while there gap test the flipper bats with 1-2 credit cards

Question on the 1.18 rom

Did mudflaps release it with the sound package update

I haven’t seen anything posted

Any one still running 1.17 ? I am enjoying it very much anything SUPER needing to update or possibly stern dropping another polished final revision ?

a am sure they will do some more bug fixing and adjustment, since there are confirmed bugs by dwight.

#7524 4 years ago

@UrethraFranklin, you really do some great 3D modeling.

The slimer much topper just seems too much for me. Like it highlights a huge block over his head. I personally like that the arm/mech is black and less noticeable.

Regardless, there are some who will love it so keep on creating!

I haven’t done 1.17 yet. I’m kind of cautious based on the amount of feedback with difficulty loading the code.

I’ll try to get to it soon. You’ll know when I’m done because 1.18 will drop the next day.

Thanks man. I don't need mods on every game, for every part. But I think Ghostbusters is the most tastefully cluttered game out there. It's also just one of my favorite themes anyway. I love my Party Zone but it's a somewhat generic subject matter...partying. My Guardians has a few mods but I really enjoy adding to the GB playfield. I just wanted to make something that looks like it should have come from the factory. I still enjoy this game.

Why was I under the impression it is a PITA? I thought people have mentioned how hard it is to loosen the one screw and then how tight it needs to be to make the the flipper stays?

Yes

Quoted from EBDixson:

No. However, I installed the Ecto plastic to prevent trapped balls. Every few games a ball would get stuck in the corner.

Taking flippers out is easy! The hard part is putting them back in, aligning them correctly and making sure they are tightened enough. It is a bit of a process: line em up, tighten, realize they aren't quite right, loosen, adjust, tighten, repeat?... Plus some machines are more cluttered under the playfield around the flipper mechs which can make it harder to deal with.

With that being said, it really isn't complicated, it can just take some time.

I know what you're talking about. I actually cracked the inside of the handle on my allen driver trying to loosen one on my MMr. It was unbelievably tight. So, I got a t-gripped allen wrench, and it came loose with moderate effort.

Are all pins using the same sized allen wrench to remove this? If so, would you be able to tell me what size is needed? Would like to buy a T-gripper one to have on hand.

Yea they are as far as all of the ones I have ever seen. I would recommend a set like I have. It's not exactly these but it's the same concept. It gives you a lot of leverage as well as a comfortable handle to torque with.

I have the real knocker installed in my premium. After the latest software release there's no longer an option to say if a knocker is installed. I see how to mute it but not that it's installed. Did I miss it somewhere? I looked all over the adjustments.

I moved mine by myself. The key for me was getting it lined up with the basement stairs that go straight down / no landing turn. Then laid it down, sat down on the steps (carpeted) with my back to the bottom of the box and simply held it off by sliding my butt down each step to the bottom. Easy!

This is going to be my plan for tonight. My friend that was going to help had a bad fall at work yesterday and likely needs back surgery. I really hope he can make a full recovery - he is only 37, which is an awfully young age to have an injury like that.

I've got a dolly to get it in the house and carpeted stairs with a landing going to the basement. The most challenging part will likely be rotating the box on the landing, but I've got around 8-10 inches or more of extra depth to work with so I should be ok.

I'm excited to get it set up. I actually got it after seeing your post a week back about Cointaker having a NIB Pro available from a recent delivery they got from Stern - so thank you for sharing!

Landing... that's easy for me. I cut a square of carboard from the box and lay it anywhere I need to spin the cabinet. When I get to that 90 degree hallway corner or landing or whatever, I raise the cabinet up and onto the cardboard so it is in the same position it was when it was shipped (Make sure there are no bolts sticking out). You can easily spin it like a top over tile, carpet or anything else that way. Depending on the type of flooring, either the pin will spin alone, or the pin AND the cardboard will spin together. So don't stand on the cardboard.

#7549 4 years ago

They slide really easy down carpet stairs in the box. I’ve been able to move several down by myself. Up is an entirely different story.
