Quoted from HookedonPinonics:

Keep on messing with it until it breaks...seriously though it's a pain in the ass. Mine was doing the same thing for awhile. I had to always keep adjusting it. It got to a point where it become so loose that the metal switch just broke off. I have replaced it with a standard switch from Marco and that solved the problem for a long time.

I think I may go ahead and go that route. I looked on Marco's website and there are a million switches. Do you happen to remember which one worked for you?

Thanks

I don't remember which one it was. I think it may be this one https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/180-5199-00 however it looks like it is out of stock. Look in the manual for the part number and type that in google.

Quoted from Jarbyjibbo:

Are they too tall or did you not want them to be flush with the top of the flasher dome? Or maybe cover the top with slime and light up from the inside when the flasher goes off even...

The tapered one should fit perfectly snug. those should be in today or monday.

Quoted from freddy:

they would look good if translucent green or pink. just my 2 cents.

You can order these as clear, then paint them with Tamiya clear. It looks pretty good.

#6704 4 years ago

Ok folks, the slimer bash assembly came in green and the new holes fit like a charm. It just pops on, you can use double sided tape if you wish. I did a V2 where the drips don't go down as far, and might do a 3rd. But anyway order this in green or pink, whichever you want.

Here is the link for V1.

You can spend more money and order this in clear, I would order the smoothest it's not perfectly clear, you can paint over this with Tamiya clear paints, just mix a good slime green.

Or order it in pink or green.

Here is the tapered flasher dome covers. I think these came out great and there is still a little clearance on the top. I will design a different one for the ghost trap one.

These are cheap. I am putting ZERO markup on these. They are printed in resin which is much stronger than most pinball mods. I make ZERO money from this.

Any idea how this green matches the color of the slime modes from Back Ally Creations. Considering an order, but I wouldn't want it to clash.

I'm not sure, I took those pictures with the flash on but you can see it's a brighter green than the slimer itself. It's not slime green but it doesn't clash in the machine.

Even though I'm fairly up on technology I have a crappy Samsung Go Phone, I find it appalling to spend more than $200 on a phone for some reason so these aren't good pictures.

I am planning on adding slime green highlights and coating it in clear to give it more of a shine. Keep in mind you can order this in white, primer it and then color match with paints as well. I would suggest clear coating it to make it slime shiny.

Scoping out other EM machines on Pinside, I never paid much attention to the Eager Beaver playfield before today.

Sheesh! This flipper gap makes Ghostbusters look like nothing!

I switched my Ghostbusters over to those 2" flippers. It was just playing way too easy.

TOTALLY forgot about this. Just did it on my LE and wow - what a difference. Remember the same diff on my premium - you're a genuis!

Stern doesn't make them like GB anymore. The game is so loaded with real proper call outs and other things we see companies removing. Bring on the updated code!

Just flip the position of the rubber rings around the slings. Move the lower ring to the top position. Move the upper ring to the lower position.

On the pro’s This does not apply as they are still a mechanical sling. On the LE/Prem with the manga sling you can flip the prefer of the sling rings to make magnets more sensitive. I’m sorry, the pic I showed from last night is the wrong one.. on pro you have to adjust the leaf switches. The picture below is of the mag a slings.

For new owners, this thread can take quite some time to read through. Is there a concise list of things one should do to fine tune / extend the life of their GB?

1. Reduce airballs by replacing a couple target brackets (https://www.shapeways.com/product/GRBNG4DQK/stern-target-bracket-v2-5deg2mm?optionId=63971960&li=marketplace) [Wow almost $20 per bracket!]

2. Flip magna-sling rubbers.

etc....

Thanks

So is this after they've been switched? The small rings go above the large ring?

my apologies about the cost, but they are 3d printed steel brackets and their process is not cheap, if I made here in Aus just postage alone would be over $27.50

I suppose look at it the other way, what is the value in reducing heavy dimpling by reducing massive airballs

These are conflicting

My new PF came with smalls on bottom, large on top. Not sure which is 'better' to achieve more action.

You want the smalls on top and the large on the bottom to make your slings more active. It will look like this when you are done.

Pretty sure its the middle delt but i moved mine down where yours are and i like it better with the outlanes closed up. It really didnt make a huge difference but it s enough difference to make the game a little more enjoyable and every little but helps with Ghostbusters.

So update on my end as I ordered these updated targets and installed today.

I was apprehensive as I thought it's a little pricey for two (around 50 shipped) but then I realized I spent 7k+ on this game and said don't be a dumbass sweating 50 bucks. Glad I did b/c they work VERY well. Plus I don't have that ugly plastic covering my ramp. Very happy. Easy to install too - just unscrew and replace with the existing targets which are underneath the table btw - check the pics on the website for ref.

I installed them too and they work great. I also replaced the foam behind the target because the original was pretty small and allowed the target to bend back with no resistance. That turns the switch into a ramp which launches the ball. The foam cut out the few random air balls I would have even with the brackets. The brackets are definitely worth the money in my opinion.

Anyone ever had a populated playfield sent to them?
My distributor said stern is sending me a box to send my playfield and then once they receive it, they will send me a new one.
How long does it take to receive the new usually?
Thx
