Quoted from camcamaro1991:

Yeah sorry I mentioned it back then when I first ordered, about mezel mods & the new rails,
however a longer screw is only 50% of the issue, the rear stud is not long enough, unless you remove the factory plastic.

Yup. Take a peak at my sales ad again, both of these are required if you have the Mezel mod motor. Thick plastics! I have instructions posted.

I had the longer bolt information there, and now just added information based on longer screw required based on new metal rails (per your pictures). . Thx

#NoMoreDwight games for me.

Dwight seems like a great guy but 2 years since the last code update is not only a ridiculous amount of time time to wait but also unacceptable. The wait has led me to sell another Stern pin and buy a competitor's product.

Munsters looks cool but I feel I would be a fool to buy one, or any Stern pin, while still waiting for Ghostbusters code to be properly completed.

If only more people would talk with their wallets instead of buying every new Stern release. I now know quite a few people who have not been buying new Sterns because they are angry about the constant, blatant disregard for people who purchased Ghostbusters.

I haven't purchased one since Ghost Busters! I really wanted a Munsters too. I purchased CGC MM and AFMR.

Got my ColorDMD installed in my GB today, a local buddy made me an adapter so I could use my WPC wiring (I hijacked the CDMD from another game, lol) and my power splitter so I could keep everything hooked up. Still waiting on a clear DMD shield.

Is that an LCD or LED ColorDMD??

LED. To me they look a lot better and the install in a later SAM or SPIKE backbox is much more natural.

I like the look of Munsters Pro but not getting another Dwight game until GB is finished

Just started noticing two minor issues on my premium in a little over a year of having it.

On auto launch 50% of the time the ball is launching into my right loop airball protector and coming back down the lane under the ecto goggles rather than the top lanes.
Is there an adjustment that needs to be made?

Secondly, not sure if this is a bug that I just haven’t noticed before but maybe every couple games I’m getting a random free play msg on dmd during game play, msg stays on for a second or two and goes back to normal.

Anyone experience this?

#5861 5 years ago

I had the auto plunge problem. I replaced the spring on the plunger with a tighter spring. Works 100% of the time now. Has been working for the last couple of months.

Have not experienced your second issue.

Ordered the damn topper. Yes it's overpriced in my opinion but it looks like the are out of production and only a couple distributors have them in stock. I figured at this point I'll never own a real Ecto-1 so this is the closest I'll ever get lol.

I have the topper. It’s an overpriced piece of metal and plastic, but I love it. It’s the Ecto-1! It really completes the look.

Sounds like most pinball machines too lol. Looking forward to getting the topper.

I hope with the final code update Stern increase the uses of the topper a bit. A shot to the left orbit should always activate the topper and trigger a strobe effect on it considering the shot represents the Ecto-1 in the game. Just that change alone would help a ton.

Heres my HUO pro, best upgrade ive done was the color DMD by far. Never had any issues other then when I hit slimer the other day two of his finger tips broke off

I really like the green legs, rails and t molding. Did you get it someplace or have it done?

I had it done at the local Powder Coating guy. Hes done about 7-8 games for me and some guys in my club, see my orange GOTG there in the back he did. Great pricing, legs, rails, hinges, lockdown bar , shooter housing $150 and that includes full sandblasting first. Its kind of nice, we have a extra set of all the newer stern metals we bought.. so we just have him do a set, and them swap them out on the game when done so we dont have a game sitting on something apart while waiting

$150 for all that. Did you wear a mask when you picked the stuff up.

Convinced me to reach out to local shops down here and look for quotes. Looks awesome!

Just installed my led color dmd, nice improvement on this one.

What have you all found to be the nest contrast and brightness setting?

#5873 5 years ago

I love GB! My Pro is the only pin I have left...I was up to 9 at one point, I think. Anyway - when did the ColorDMD become available for GB? I've been under a rock for awhile!

I've been running contrast 5 and brightness 9 (with the Glare Eliminator) for my Stern games.

9 brightness? Holy crap!

Default is 5/5 and bumped it to 6/7 and it was so bright it was bright but created a little distortion or so it seemed.
Think I settled in on 6 contrast and either 5 or 4 for brightness, colors seemed better too.

#5884 5 years ago

Had anyone ever taken the slimer figure off of the metal line? I'm just curious how it's connected and if it's hard to remove.

#5885 5 years ago

Pretty sure it is swaged on

#5886 5 years ago

I don't know if any of you all would care for these. I made this one just for fun, but at least in the spirit of slime for GB.

I didn't add a markup to any of these, I can't promise the solid green version will match the other greens on the machine. It's a generic green I can't change that.

If you order the clear resin just mix clear green paint into clear yellow until you get slime green. I normally use Tamiya from hobby stores.

Need some airball advice...

Have airball protector for left ramps, swapped out the targets for the upgraded from swinks and am still gettin some occasional crazy fliers.

Finally determined they are somehow coming off the cliffys that are installed on the scoleri targets. Ball hits them just the right way and actually flys up over the airball protector. Sometimes it still lands on ramp and other times bounces off and into the pops.

Anyone else experience this?

Trying to decide if I really need the cliffys on the scoleris and if Mylar would do the job instead.

#5891 5 years ago

In a HUO environment, Cliffy's are probably not necessary. Make sure the drop targets are adjusted flush with the tops of the Cliffy's as well.

I had the same issue with the Cliffys on the drop targets. Replaced with Mylar strips and all is good. On a location game with tons of plays per week, maybe the Cliffy issues would be worth the extra protection.

I had that issue with mine and I adjusted the drop targets height to be between the play field and cliffy's. No more airballs.

#5894 5 years ago

I finally cut the Scoleri's off - I think it makes the game a bit better.

#5895 5 years ago

I like the Scoleri targets during normal gameplay, but find them annoying during multiball.

Quoted from Supersquid:

So was it the cliffy or the target creating the airball?
My target is flush with pf but if I level with the cliffy it will stick up more.

#5897 5 years ago

am I the only one who saw a sudden flurry of activity on here and was hoping that the stern code update had actuallybeen released?

#5898 5 years ago

NO,!!!!

#5900 5 years ago
Quoted from Psw757:

It was the cliffy's creating the airballs when the target was flush with the playfield. Had to raise the target a little so it was a more gradual rise and not as big a bump.
