Show queen that's made the rounds, or a production game? If it's the former, I played it in Texas a few weeks ago. Congrats either way.

I played the show queens at MGC, too.
Nope, this is brand new, production run. Picked up a few hours ago.

Awesome! Very pumped because that means mine is hopefully not too far behind.
Quoted from newpinbin:Awesome! More pics.
Sure thing...had to stop by UPS to pick up the goodies for the launch party!

Awesome you will have to let us know what it is like playing it in a quiet environment vers at the show!
Quoted from Chisox:Beautiful. Do we have to wait until the launch party to play?
No, but it will be on pay to play, outside of the launch party...not sure what price yet.
Normally, all new Sterns spend one weekend in the arcade on free play, then go on route in rotation for about a year downstate before returning.
This is the first brand new pin that is going to stay at the arcade for a while, so, there needs to be something charged to help recoup costs, as we're still in survival mode, financially. I hope to make money some day. The location play downstate makes new pins possible, and helps to keep the arcade afloat.

Tested in a *quiet* arcade. Meaning, the arcade was closed, and only about 10 machines were turned on out of 45. The only background noises were attract modes from time to time. Mostly soft surfaces: carpet, acoustical dropped ceiling tiles, drywall.
Out of the box, it is near-deafeningly loud! (Default = 32, I think.) I turned the volume down to 25 or 26, and it was still slightly uncomfortably loud. But man, did it sound awesome! Some good thumping bass from time to time, with crisp highs and pleasant mids in the music. No muddiness, great job on the mix! Speech calls from the movie sounded great, as did Ernie's custom speech. Keep in mind, I am not comparing the stock speakers to some audiophile gear...but for a stock pinball machine, it rocked!
I only played a couple games...and eventually gave up on my "skills" and just threw the ball around with the glass off, wanting to hear all sorts of speech, music, and sound effects.
As an aside, nailing the ball up the "ladder" ramp made it return extremely quickly, and was fun to loop, even if it wasn't awarding much. Had a few airballs, one was from a Scoleri Brothers drop target. I'm not used to a ball flying out of the game...guess that's why it needs glass!

Quoted from tacshose:Any out of box issues or adjustments you needed to make?
Not yet, other than the crazy loud default volume, but I only played about 5 minutes before I had to go. Will play some more tomorrow and report back.
The only weirdness was one of the airballs, but I didn't see what caused it. (The other was from a Scoleri Bros. drop target.)
Slimer registered all hits, all mechs and switches seemed to be functioning properly.

Quoted from pinballrockstar:Man i can't wait for my LE to arrive
Same. The wait is killing me.
Can you check if slimer is registering when you vigorously shimmy the table? I heard it was having this issue at PAPA.
More pictures please ! Looks like there are added plastics with artwork on the lower sections of the ramp. Cool.
Also looks like an added plastic on the right side of the right ramp at the top. Seeing a metal gate at the right inner in-lane too.
Any other production differences noticed ?
I can help you "TEST IT OUT. You know, 10 or 20 games should do it, just to make sure everything is working. LOL

Looks more like a ceiling reflection off the glass. Don't think there is a gate on the inner lane.
I'll be heading back to the arcade in the next hour or so, so I can take more pix and answer more questions then.
I apologize for the quality of the pix:
1) Lighting is poor in the arcade
2) I don't have my good camera with me, only the built-in one on my Surface, which is mediocre, and cannot do focused close-ups.
Oh, as to when we're open?
Thursday-Saturday 5-11
Sunday 1-7
Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for kids 12 and under. That gets you unlimited play and time on about 30 pins, including Metallica and The Walking Dead. Also, 6 driving games, plus several classic vids and a foosball table.
Ghostbusters will be the only game on pay to play, likely 2 plays for $1. (My location pricing is $1/play, so this is half-price.)

Yes, this seems to be the case.

Tighten the tilt to prevent this?
Quoted from ChadH:Tighten the tilt to prevent this?
Yeah, that was my first thought.
And maybe something with a timer in the code, that if a tilt warning occurs within xxx milliseconds of a Slimer hit, to disallow the hit.

Quoted from metahugh:I thought Stern was correcting that.
Pretty sure it was stated on here that the error was caught too late for the first batch of playfields. So early games will have the typo.

Thanks for the pics!! It would be great to see with the glass off if that was possible... Thanks for sharing.

Uh, it was off!
Lots of reflection from the shiny playfield, and the stock LED's on it and the backbox!

This is what I have been told as well.
That's okay, I'll have the *true* LE!
I wouldn't be surprised to see the same playfields at Pin-a-Go-Go in a few weeks.
Come and say hello to Borygard and yours truly in the "EM room!"
