Quoted from exflexer:

You don't have to install the center post if you don't want to. The center post thing is really dumb. The people actually installing a center post in their game is ever dumber. Sometimes pinball is hard.

I personally wouldn't install the center post but I can see it as an option for those that have younger kids or inexperienced players owning the machine to increase ball times. I don't think that decision is "dumb". Interesting mod...good work.

Quoted from cubitron:

I know I am not adding much to the conversation, but here is what I've experienced on my GB Pro. Those Scoleri Bros. do not drop with a solid hit and often throw the ball over the flippers. My brother calls it the "Scoleri Screwjob". I like the advice of backhanding. I will try that.
Some people mentioned a dirty feed through the spinner. This happens rarely, but it is almost always SDTM.
Finally, I just don't feel right about the left scoop kickout. It never shoots SDTM, but lands unpredictably on/near the tip of the right flipper which prevents most forms of ball control. Our local operator took his kickout power down to 20 so it dribbles out to the left flipper. It works nicely, but I just don't feel right about doing it on my home machine.

This may help with those Scoleri Brothers drop targets...

I picked them up (along with a shaker motor, Zombie Yeti blades, etc) and waiting for my Premium to make it's way down the assembly line. Pinball Life has a fairly decent and affordable selection of GB parts for fine tuning your machine without adding major mods.

Update to my GBLE Airball fix plastic.
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/official-stern-ghostbusters-speculation-thread/page/330#post-3292934
Added some green slime to plastic using white decal paper
Slime template is HERE:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B9aPFmNkJCM7U0xIQzVHeE1Lems&usp=sharing
1) Print at full size, with printer setting to photo paper
2) Use exacto knife to trim the slime parts (wow! hard)
3) Trim back end (straight edge) using metal ruler
4) Clean up the "tips" of the slime (you wont be able to perfectly cut them round)
5) Test on plastic
6) Remove backing starting on left orbit edge and work toward middle of plastic

That looks good! I can print and contour cut these with my printer/cutter if it helps you moving forward and you want to offer this as a mod. It has to be super tedious doing those precision cuts by hand!!! Nice work.

So what's your playfield date and is it stamped or hand written?

I saw in the other thread his is September 26th (stamped).

Quoted from NeilMcRae:

The stern guys said the playfield issue hadn't been fixed yet when we were at the factory last week, so dates are largely irrelevant until we hear them say it's fixed. Latest guess has it the new play fields will arrive in November as a few folks have been told new play fields to replace duff ones will be delivered in November.

Which "Stern guys" are you talking about?

OMG...... Never seen anyone do that before.

+1...I couldn't do it. The risk verse reward is not in my favor.
